Supply Chain & Logistics Director

The Role

Our client is looking for a Supply Chain & Logistics Director to lead the end-to-end supply chain and logistics organization in Russia, supporting business growth, improving competitiveness and building a resilient, digitally enabled operation. Reporting directly to the Country Director, the role covers the Russian market and export, and leads a team of 30+ people across four areas: Planning, Logistics, Customer Service and own Warehouse Operations.

• Position the Supply Chain department as a true business partner and strengthen communication with the business.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive supply chain strategy, organizational structure and processes to support growth and market competitiveness.
• Review logistics flows, demand planning (together with Sales) and the warehousing setup, with the target of reducing the weight of Supply Chain in the total P&L.
• Optimize planning activities and review the organization of the regional warehouses.
• Drive digital transformation through dashboards, KPIs and projects such as ERP, WMS and TMS integration.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives related to Chestny Znak track-and-trace and electronic documentation requirements.
• Deliver supply chain KPIs: execution versus the sales and operations plan by volume and mix, service level, days of cover and inventory accuracy.
• Supervise warehouse operations and distribution networks, ensuring quality, efficiency, safety and future-ready capacity.
• Assess the impact of channel transformation and propose changes to the logistics setup accordingly.
• Maintain robust risk management covering supplier dependency, demand volatility, logistics disruption and regulatory change.
• Lead, mentor and develop the supply chain team, promoting accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Work closely with Sales, Finance, Marketing and other functions to ensure seamless end-to-end operations.

The Candidate

• University degree in Management, Supply Chain, Economics or a related field; an MBA or relevant professional certification is a strong plus.
• 10+ years of international business experience, primarily in Supply Chain and Logistics.
• 3-5+ years in a Director or Head of Department role.
• Experience managing a complex supply chain operation with full P&L responsibility.
• Proven track record in FMCG, production or manufacturing environments.
• Hands-on expertise in demand planning, warehouse management, transportation and customer service.
• Agile personality, able to adapt to change.
• Strong communication skills, able to federate people and drive change.
• Advanced English, fluent in business communication.
