# Subsurface Production Technologist – Data Analytics & Regulatory **Resolution Energy Services** · Midland, TX 79706 · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: вчера* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role We are seeking to employ, on a full-time W-2 basis, a Production Data Analyst to support subsurface production, data analytics, regulatory reporting, and Plug and Abandonment activities for a major oil and gas client in Midland, TX. This role supports an upstream Subsurface team with production and operational data analysis, Power BI dashboard development, data quality, workflow automation, New Mexico regulatory reporting, and technical support for inactive well and Plug and Abandonment programs. The selected candidate will develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, use Python and SQL to automate reporting and data validation, maintain production and regulatory datasets, prepare New Mexico regulatory submissions, and support P&A packages, wellbore documentation, and AFE generation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with oil and gas production or subsurface data, Power BI, SQL, Python, advanced Excel, and data quality or reporting workflows. Experience with New Mexico regulatory reporting, NMOCD requirements, Plug and Abandonment activities, or upstream production systems is strongly preferred. Candidates must be able to work on-site in Midland, TX. Key responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards supporting Subsurface, Operations, and leadership teams. Transform complex production, operational, and subsurface datasets into clear reporting and decision-support tools. Develop Python and SQL solutions to automate reporting, data validation, and recurring business workflows. Support data-source transitions, dashboard migrations, and reporting enhancements. Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and automate manual processes. Maintain data quality and integrity across production, well test, allocation, and regulatory datasets. Validate data sources, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate corrections with appropriate stakeholders. Support well test validation and automated data-quality workflows. Document data definitions, business rules, reporting processes, and methodologies. Prepare, validate, and submit assigned New Mexico regulatory reporting and supporting documentation. Support NMOCD reporting requirements, including IP testing and SWD reporting. Maintain regulatory databases, trackers, documentation, and audit-ready records. Investigate and resolve data discrepancies that may affect regulatory compliance. Develop and maintain Plug and Abandonment packages and supporting technical documentation. Prepare wellbore diagrams, technical summaries, and required case documentation. Generate and maintain AFEs supporting P&A execution activities. Coordinate technical, operational, and financial information required for P&A package approval. Maintain reporting and tracking tools supporting inactive well and P&A program management. Required experience: Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and data visualizations. Working knowledge of Python and SQL for data analysis, data preparation, reporting, or workflow automation. Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including manipulation and analysis of large datasets. Experience with data validation, data quality, or data stewardship processes. Experience working with production, operational, engineering, subsurface, or other technical oil and gas data. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to coordinate with engineering, operations, regulatory, and other business stakeholders. Ability to work on-site in Midland, TX. Preferred experience: Advanced Power BI experience, including Power Query, DAX, and data modeling. Experience developing Python-based automation or analytical workflows. Experience working with upstream oil and gas production, well test, allocation, or subsurface datasets. Experience with New Mexico regulatory reporting and NMOCD compliance requirements. Experience supporting Plug and Abandonment workflows. Experience preparing or maintaining wellbore diagrams and technical well documentation. Experience generating or maintaining AFEs. Experience with Energy Components or similar upstream production-data systems. Experience resolving production allocation or production data quality issues.
