You will lead strategy projects, investigate emerging opportunities, develop business cases, and prepare recommendations for senior leadership. Through this work, you will play an important role in advancing our mission to transform rail and transit systems that millions of people use every day. This position is based in our New York City office. Travel ranges from 5% to 30%, depending on project assignments. Relocation assistance is not available. Some assignments may require extended working hours around critical deadlines. You’ll make an impact by: Leading consulting-style strategy and business transformation projects, structuring ambiguous problems, developing rigorous analyses, aligning stakeholders, and translating findings into recommendations and implementation plans. Analyzing market and portfolio opportunities, including where Siemens Mobility should compete, how our offerings should evolve, and where to prioritize investment for long-term growth. Developing market models and original fact bases on customers, competitors, technologies, and public policy to identify emerging risks and opportunities for the business. Drafting CEO-level materials for internal and external meetings, including written analyses, presentations, briefings, and executive readouts. You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications: Basic Qualifications Passion for our mission to transform mobility in North America. Three to five years of professional experience in management consulting, an in-house strategy or transformation team, or another role involving rigorous analysis of complex business issues. Knowledge of the North American rail and transit sector, developed through professional experience, research, or personal interest. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Experience structuring ambiguous problems and producing clear recommendations for senior stakeholders. Experience creating executive-level presentations and written analyses, including advanced PowerPoint work with Efficient Elements and/or think-cell. Experience developing financial models in Microsoft Excel. Experience collaborating across technical and business teams and building stakeholder alignment without formal authority. Experience using AI tools in professional workflows. Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Preferred Qualifications Strong strategic and analytical judgment, including the ability to structure ambiguous problems, identify critical assumptions, evaluate quantitative and qualitative evidence, and develop clear recommendations when information is incomplete. Ability to build alignment and secure cooperation among people in situations where you lack formal authority; ability to follow through with implementation in a complex organization by building and navigating internal networks. Tenacity and resourcefulness, with a passion for "diving deep" to get to the root of challenging situations and the creativity to leverage internal and external resources to develop proprietary fact bases. Strong ownership and meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to independently plan work, manage concurrent assignments, and deliver accurate, well-structured outputs under tight deadlines. Excellent writing and editing skills, including the ability to construct a clear argument and explain complex business and technical issues in concise, precise language. Strong verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver compelling presentations to executive stakeholders. Comfort discussing technology with engineers and other technical colleagues (although formal education/training in Engineering or Technology is not required).
