Strategy Consultant (Consumer Goods)

Project Overview

Our client, a global management consulting firm, is seeking an experienced Strategy Consultant to support a Consumer Goods project focused on understanding and improving the operations of an FMCG business.

The engagement will cover Southeast Asia as well as selected countries outside the region. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity involving travel across multiple countries.

Key Activities

• Assess the operations of an FMCG business, identifying operational challenges, performance gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Analyse business processes, operating models and performance to identify areas for optimisation.
• Conduct market, competitor and commercial analysis to support the broader strategic assessment.
• Evaluate business performance, industry trends and relevant operational benchmarks.
• Develop fact-based insights and recommendations to improve business and operational effectiveness.
• Support the development of business cases, strategic recommendations and client-ready presentations.
• Engage with client stakeholders to gather information, validate findings and test recommendations.
• Collaborate with the wider consulting team to deliver high-quality outputs within project timelines.

Your Background

• Experience in strategy consulting or relevant management consulting roles.
• Strong understanding of FMCG or Consumer Goods business operations.
• Previous experience with McKinsey, Bain, BCG or Kearney is preferred.
• Candidates from other reputable consulting firms may also be considered.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and structured thinking capabilities.
• Experience in operational assessments, business performance analysis or operational improvement.
• Ability to work independently, manage deliverables and engage effectively with client stakeholders.
• Excellent PowerPoint, Excel and communication skills.
• Willingness to work on-site and travel across multiple countries.
