This isn't a traditional account management role. We're looking for someone who understands how large service organizations operate—someone who knows how to navigate complex organizations, build relationships at multiple levels, uncover new opportunities, develop long-term growth strategies across multiple business units and operating regions, and a strong knowledge of the Arbor Industry. The ideal candidate is: Experienced managing large strategic or national accounts Comfortable navigating complex organizations with multiple stakeholders Skilled at building executive relationships while also engaging field operations and safety teams A self-starter who proactively identifies opportunities rather than simply responding to customer requests Motivated, competitive, and driven by results Passionate about helping customers improve safety, productivity, and operational performance Familiar with the Arbor Industry Base Salary up to $100K with Bonus eligibility At Vertical Supply Group, you'll represent a portfolio of industry-leading brands across rope, rigging, climbing, lifting, fall protection, and work-at-height solutions while helping some of North America's largest contractors standardize equipment, improve worker safety, and solve complex operational challenges. This is an opportunity to build strategic partnerships—not simply manage accounts. What You'll Do Success in this role is measured by your ability to grow strategic relationships, uncover new opportunities, expand product adoption, and increase revenue across your assigned national accounts. You'll be responsible for: Developing and executing strategic account plans for assigned National Service Provider customers. Building relationships with executive leadership, operations, safety, procurement, fleet, training, and regional management teams. Identifying new opportunities to expand VSG's portfolio across multiple business units, regions, and operating divisions. Increasing share of wallet through cross-selling and introducing new products and solutions. Leading business reviews and executive planning meetings with key customers. Coordinating internally across sales, customer service, operations, marketing, and product management to ensure exceptional customer support. Working alongside distributor partners and internal sales teams to maximize growth opportunities. Conducting product demonstrations, new product introductions, and customer training. Developing three-year strategic growth plans for each assigned account. Maintaining a disciplined opportunity pipeline while accurately forecasting revenue. Providing Voice of Customer (VOC), competitive intelligence, and market feedback that influence future product development. Representing Vertical Supply Group at customer events, trade shows, and industry conferences. What Success Looks Like Successful candidates will: Become trusted advisors to their largest customers. Expand relationships beyond purchasing into operations, safety, and executive leadership. Increase product penetration across multiple VSG brands. Identify and close new enterprise-wide opportunities. Grow revenue and share of wallet year over year. Build multi-year strategic partnerships that create sustainable growth. Deliver measurable business results while providing outstanding customer experience. Qualifications We're looking for someone who combines strategic thinking with exceptional relationship-building skills. Preferred qualifications include: Five or more years of successful experience managing large national or strategic accounts. Proven ability to grow enterprise-level customer relationships. Experience selling industrial safety, climbing, rope, rigging, lifting, fall protection, PPE, or related products preferred. Strong executive communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Demonstrated success identifying and developing new business opportunities within existing customers. Experience managing complex sales cycles across multiple stakeholders. Strong organizational skills with disciplined pipeline and account management. Proficiency with Microsoft Office; CRM and ERP experience preferred (NetSuite experience is a plus). Ability to travel approximately 50% throughout North America. Located near a major airport preferred. Bilingual in English and Spanish (fluent in speaking and reading) is a plus but not required. Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) matching Employee discount Life insurance Paid time off Language: Spanish (Preferred) Willingness to travel: 50% (Required) Work Location: Remote
