The ideal candidate should have experience in Food & Beverage (F&B) or hospitality , with strong knowledge of inventory control, receiving, storage, and stock management. Key Responsibilities Receive, inspect, and verify all deliveries against approved Purchase Orders (POs), delivery notes, and invoices to ensure that the items received are correct and complete. Check the quantity, quality, specifications, and condition of all incoming items. Identify and report any shortages, excess quantities, damaged goods, incorrect items, or quality concerns before accepting the delivery. Ensure proper storage of all stock , including food, beverages, packaging materials, cleaning supplies, equipment, and other operational items, according to company standards and storage requirements. Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records , ensuring that all received, issued, transferred, returned, damaged, and disposed items are properly recorded in the relevant inventory system or documents. Conduct regular stock counts and physical inventory checks to verify actual stock against system records and identify discrepancies, losses, or unusual variances. Monitor stock levels and identify items approaching minimum or maximum stock levels. Coordinate with the Procurement and Operations teams to ensure timely replenishment and avoid stock shortages or overstocking. Apply FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expired, First Out) principles, particularly for food and beverage products, to ensure older or earlier-expiring products are used first. Regularly check expiry dates, production dates, and product condition , ensuring that expired, near-expiry, damaged, or deteriorated items are properly identified, segregated, reported, and handled according to company procedures. Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organization within all storage areas. Ensure shelves, refrigerators, freezers, dry stores, and other storage facilities are clean, properly arranged, clearly labeled, and maintained at the required temperature and condition. Ensure proper segregation and storage of different product categories , including raw materials, finished products, packaging, chemicals, and other supplies, to prevent contamination, damage, or incorrect usage. Report damaged, expired, missing, excess, or non-conforming items immediately to the Store/Operations Manager and coordinate the appropriate action, including return to supplier, replacement, disposal, or adjustment where authorized. Prepare and issue stock to outlets, departments, and production areas based on approved requisitions or stock requests, ensuring that the correct items and quantities are issued and properly documented. Verify all stock requests before issuing items , ensuring requests are properly authorized and that stock is issued according to established par levels, operational requirements, and company procedures. Maintain proper documentation of all stock movements , including receiving, issuing, transfers between locations, returns, adjustments, damaged items, and disposals. Assist with monthly, quarterly, and periodic inventory counts , working with the Finance, Cost Control, Procurement, and Operations teams to reconcile physical stock with system records. Investigate and report inventory discrepancies , assisting management in identifying possible causes such as incorrect receiving, issuing errors, wastage, damages, recording errors, or stock losses. Monitor storage conditions , including temperature, humidity, ventilation, cleanliness, and pest-control requirements, particularly for food, beverages, and other temperature-sensitive products. Ensure all products are properly labeled and organized , with clear identification of item names, quantities, expiry dates, batch numbers, and other required information where applicable. Coordinate with Procurement regarding supplier deliveries , including shortages, damaged products, incorrect deliveries, rejected items, and pending or outstanding orders. Support outlet and operational requirements by ensuring requested stock is available, properly prepared, and issued on time to prevent disruption to daily operations. Minimize product wastage and stock losses by maintaining proper storage, handling, stock rotation, and monitoring of expiry dates and product usage. Maintain a safe and organized working environment , ensuring storage areas are free from unnecessary obstructions and that items are safely stacked and stored to prevent accidents or damage. Follow company policies, food safety requirements, HACCP principles, hygiene standards, and health and safety procedures at all times when receiving, storing, handling, and issuing stock. Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of inventory information , including stock levels, costs, supplier information, and inventory records. Perform other storekeeping and inventory-related duties as assigned by the Store Manager, Operations Manager, or other authorized management personnel. Requirements Previous experience as a Storekeeper F&B or hospitality experience is required/preferred. Knowledge of food and beverage products, storage requirements, and inventory procedures. Familiarity with FIFO/FEFO and stock rotation. Good organizational and time-management skills. Basic computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication and coordination skills. Physically fit and able to handle stock and deliveries when required. Preferred Experience working in a café, restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment . Knowledge of inventory or stock management systems. Experience handling food and perishable products.
