We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Store Manager to oversee day-to-day store operations, support the team, and ensure a positive customer experience. Key Duties: Manage day-to-day retail store operations, ensuring a customer-focused and well- organised shopping environment. Oversee stock control, conduct regular inventory checks, and ensure timely reordering of indoor plants, giftware, and related retail products to maintain optimal stock levels. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiate pricing and terms, and ensure cost-effective procurement of retail products and store supplies. Monitor product pricing, margins, and market trends to implement competitive pricing strategies that support profitability and sales performance. Supervise and delegate staff duties, ensuring sales, customer service, stock handling, and daily store tasks are completed efficiently and accurately. Lead recruitment processes, including interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new team members. Maintain high standards of store presentation, merchandising, and customer service, including attractive product displays and professional staff presentation. Plan and implement promotional campaigns and merchandising strategies to promote seasonal products, giftware, and other retail offerings and increase sales. Oversee stock receiving and dispatch processes, ensuring accurate record-keeping and inventory management. Prepare and monitor budgets, track sales performance, manage labour costs, and control expenses to meet financial goals. Identify operational challenges and implement improvements using sound commercial judgment. Continuously assess operational performance, expenses, and internal processes, implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and long-term sustainability. Support team development through training, mentoring, and performance feedback, including product knowledge and customer service. Promote a positive, collaborative workplace culture that encourages accountability and motivation. Oversee store presentation, cleanliness, and brand standards to maintain a strong and consistent customer experience. Ensure strict compliance with health and safety requirements and employment obligations, maintaining a safe and compliant working environment. Plan and place plant orders with suppliers in advance to ensure adequate stock availability and timely delivery. Develop and manage corporate plant supply and maintenance packages, including discussing plant hire/purchase options and ongoing maintenance services with offices and corporate clients. Build and maintain relationships with corporate and retail customers, understanding their requirements and recommending suitable plant solutions and maintenance services. Monitor plant stock levels and condition, ensuring plants are healthy, well-maintained, appropriately displayed, and available for sale. Required to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week and you will be paid between $30 to $35 per hour based on your skills and experience. Requirements for the Role: Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience or at least relevant level-6 qualifications. Flexible to work varied shift timings, weekends, and public holidays as required. Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. High attention to detail, with the ability to work effectively under pressure. Pay: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour Work Location: In person
