Steel Fixer Foreman

Key Responsibilities

• Team Supervision: Lead, supervise, and coordinate a team of steel fixers. Assign daily tasks and monitor productivity to ensure project milestones are met.
• Technical Execution: Read and interpret structural drawings, Bar Bending Schedules (BBS), and reinforcement details to plan daily steel fixing activities.
• Quality Control: Oversee the cutting, bending, placing, and tying of rebar. Ensure strict adherence to bar spacing, lap lengths, concrete cover, and anchorage specifications.
• Inspections: Coordinate with Site Engineers and QA/QC teams. Ensure all steel works are inspected and approved before concrete pouring.
• Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict HSE regulations and site safety guidelines. Conduct daily toolbox talks and ensure the crew uses appropriate PPE.
• Material Management: Monitor the handling and utilization of reinforcement materials to minimize wastage and report any shortages to management.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Steel Fixer Foreman in the UAE, specifically on large-scale commercial or high-rise building projects.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong ability to read structural drawings and BBS. Deep understanding of civil structural requirements.
• Prior Experience: Prior experience working on major developer projects (e.g., Musanada, ALDAR, ADNOC, Emaar) is a major advantage .
• Leadership: Proven ability to manage large crews (20+ workers) from diverse backgrounds and maintain discipline on site.
• Safety First: Comprehensive knowledge of UAE construction safety standards and permit-to-work systems.
• Availability: Must be available to join immediately or on a short notice. Valid UAE visa is preferred.

• Salary: AED 5,000 – 6,000 (based on experience and interview performance).
