Staff Accountant
Tuscan Brands is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Staff Accountant to join our Corporate Office team. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with a strong foundation in accounting principles who is eager to expand their skills and grow within a dynamic, fast-paced organization. The Staff Accountant will play an important role in supporting the financial operations of Tuscan Brands and its multiple business units , with responsibilities spanning sales reconciliation, Accounts Receivable, cash management, reporting, and general accounting functions. Job Summary As a Staff Accountant at Tuscan Brands, you will support a variety of day-to-day accounting and financial operations across our growing organization. You will work closely with the Corporate Accounting team to ensure transactions are recorded accurately, accounts are reconciled in a timely manner, and financial information is maintained to a high standard. We’re looking for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Skills & Qualifications The ideal candidate will have: Proficiency with spreadsheets and strong computer skills A basic understanding of general ledger accounting Strong time management and organizational skills The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with Accounts Receivable processes Strong attention to detail and accuracy The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines 1–3 years of experience in an accounting role Key Responsibilities Review and reconcile daily sales activity from the Point of Sale (POS) system for each business unit Purchase office supplies, kitchen supplies, and other miscellaneous items needed for restaurant operations Prepare bank deposits and accurately record transactions in the ERP system Generate invoices for intercompany services Apply and record payments received via ACH Prepare weekly sales reports by department Maintain and monitor Accounts Receivable aging for catering services Cross-train with the Accounts Payable team and provide support as needed Monitor and maintain accurate records of cash on hand for each location Record cooking class sales Assist with additional accounting and administrative projects as needed Compensation $29–$31 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
