Staff Accountant
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Staff Accountant to join our accounting team and support the financial operations of a multi-entity organization. This position will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records across multiple legal entities, performing account reconciliations, assisting with month-end and year-end close, and supporting the preparation of financial statements and management reports. Success in this position will be demonstrated through accurate and timely financial reporting, well-maintained reconciliations, effective management of intercompany balances, and consistent support of the monthly close process across all entities. Employment Type: Full-Time, salary, exempt Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm Compensation: $50,00 - $60,000 annually, depending on experience. Location: in-person, Marble Falls, TX Direct Report: Financial Manager Key Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain accurate general ledger accounts for multiple legal entities. Perform monthly bank, credit card, balance sheet, and general ledger reconciliations. Record and reconcile intercompany transactions , including intercompany receivables, payables, loans, and expense allocations. Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process across multiple entities. Review financial activity for accuracy, completeness, and proper account classification. Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable cycles. Monitor and reconcile due-to/due-from accounts between related entities. Support cash management and bank activity reconciliations. Identify discrepancies and research unusual or inconsistent transactions. Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation. Assist with process improvements, internal controls, and accounting system enhancements. Perform other accounting and finance duties as assigned. Qualifications Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred. 2+ years of accounting experience ; experience in a multi-entity environment strongly preferred. Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and spreadsheet analysis. Experience with an ERP or accounting system such as QuickBooks Online, Net Suite, or similar. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet monthly close deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the accounting and finance team.
