St George Hospital is seeking motivated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapists to join our Occupational Therapy Department through our Level 1/2 Rotational Program. The Occupational Therapist is responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering high quality Occupational Therapy care to patients in a wide range of service areas including mental and physical health settings consistent with South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) policies, procedures and standards. This is an exciting opportunity to develop broad clinical skills across a range of acute and subacute clinical areas within a large tertiary referral hospital. Final-year Occupational Therapy students are welcomed to apply. Subject to placement on the eligibility list, successful completion of their degree, and registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia/AHPRA, applicants may be offered employment. Selection Criteria Qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award and current AHPRA registration; and demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development. Demonstrated core competency skills in Occupational Therapy and flexibility to apply these across a number of settings including physical and mental health services. Demonstrated high level written, verbal and interpersonal skills, to both engage patients/clients and work effectively with the multi-disciplinary team across varying services including physical and mental health. Demonstrated ability to exercise independent professional judgement in the provision of clinical care using evidence based practice, commensurate with years of experience Demonstrated commitment to the use and application of professional and clinical digital technologies.
