This is a hands-on mechanical design role focused on taking existing concepts through detailed design, prototyping and build. Scope of Work - Mechanical design of robotic enclosures, structures and mechanical assemblies. - Design and refinement of mechanisms, including actuated doors and linkage systems. - Integrate sensors, displays, wiring/harnesses and related hardware. - Develop CAD models and detailed drawings for fabrication. - Support prototype builds, troubleshooting and design iteration. - Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, software and robotics engineers. Desired Background - Strong mechanical design and product development experience. - SolidWorks experience preferred. - Experience with enclosures, mechanisms and/or actuated systems. - Experience taking designs through prototype and physical build. - Robotics/electromechanical experience preferred, but not required. - Ability to step into an active project and contribute quickly.
