Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with strong expertise in SolidWorks and Autodesk Fusion to lead mechanical design development for custom-built structures, themed attractions, interactive installations, mechanical assemblies, and specialized fabrication projects.

The ideal candidate must combine advanced 3D CAD skills with practical engineering knowledge, ensuring that designs are not only technically accurate but also manufacturable, functional, and suitable for workshop fabrication, assembly, and site installation.

We need a hands-on engineer who can take a project from initial concept and 3D modeling through detailed engineering, prototyping, fabrication, testing, and implementation .

Key Responsibilities

Mechanical Design & Engineering

• Lead mechanical design development for custom structures, moving mechanisms, interactive features, themed attractions, and specialized installations.
• Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings using SolidWorks and Autodesk Fusion .
• Prepare manufacturing drawings, fabrication details, exploded views, assembly drawings, and bills of materials (BOMs).
• Perform design calculations, component selection, tolerance analysis, and basic mechanical engineering assessments as required.
• Design mechanical systems involving linkages, gears, bearings, shafts, actuators, motors, and other moving components where applicable.
• Evaluate material selection, structural requirements, manufacturability, and mechanical performance.

Prototyping, Fabrication & Implementation

• Develop prototypes and test mechanical concepts before final production.
• Work closely with workshop and production teams to ensure designs can be fabricated and assembled efficiently.
• Provide hands-on technical support during fabrication, assembly, installation, and commissioning.
• Troubleshoot mechanical problems and modify designs based on actual workshop and site conditions.
• Conduct design reviews and improve existing mechanisms, assemblies, and fabrication methods.
• Verify that completed components and assemblies meet design requirements and intended functionality.

Project Coordination

• Coordinate with Architects, BIM Modelers, Electrical Engineers, Automation Engineers, Fabrication Teams, and Site Teams.
• Ensure mechanical designs are compatible with electrical systems, sensors, actuators, motors, and PLC-controlled equipment where applicable.
• Review technical drawings, identify design conflicts, and propose practical engineering solutions.
• Manage design revisions, technical documentation, and engineering deliverables according to project schedules.
• Support testing, troubleshooting, and final project handover.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 7–10 years of relevant mechanical design engineering experience .
• Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks and Autodesk Fusion is mandatory.
• Strong experience in 3D CAD modeling, complex assemblies, engineering drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
• Practical knowledge of machining, metal fabrication, welding, CNC manufacturing, and mechanical assembly.
• Experience in prototyping, product development, and converting concepts into working mechanical systems.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and resolve engineering problems independently.
• Strong understanding of materials, tolerances, fasteners, bearings, gears, motors, and mechanical components.
• Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and supporting workshop/site implementation.
• Strong communication, technical problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Preferred Experience

Experience in one or more of the following industries will be an advantage:

• Themed entertainment and theme parks
• Animatronics and moving mechanisms
• Custom machinery and mechanical systems
• Interactive attractions and kinetic installations
• Special-purpose equipment and product development
• Steel and metal fabrication
• CNC machining and manufacturing
• Exhibition structures and custom-built installations

The successful candidate must be practical, detail-oriented, resourceful, and comfortable working directly with production and fabrication teams. Strong CAD skills alone are not sufficient; candidates must demonstrate actual engineering implementation experience.
