This role is suited to a senior-level designer who excels in creative direction, complex space planning, and technical execution. The ideal candidate has a strong track record of steering projects from concept through to final delivery, and leading high-stakes client presentations. Preference will be given to candidates with international exposure having lived, studied, or worked abroad who bring a refined design sensibility shaped by multicultural experience. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Hands-On Creative Design & Concept Production · Actively work on all design stages, personally prepare, review, and monitor the physical production of interior design concepts from initial brief to final client sign-off. · Translate high-level client briefs, brand objectives, and commercial requirements into original design narratives, spatial layouts, and comprehensive design packages. · Personally build, develop, review, and monitor advanced mood boards, sophisticated material palettes, color stories, and immersive visual themes. · Drive innovative approaches to space planning, circulation flow, color psychology, materiality, advanced lighting, and texture through direct design work. · Personally prepare, review, and monitor high-impact concept presentations, 3D renders, and technical design proposals that align with brand identity, project timelines, and strict budgets. Design Development & Technical Execution · Personally prepare, draft, review, and monitor detailed shop drawings, layout plans, and comprehensive design development packages. · Directly produce, review, and monitor architectural and interior drawings, ensuring absolute precision and consistency with approved creative direction. · Execute, review, and monitor sketches, layouts, and iterative design revisions hands-on throughout all phases of the project lifecycle. · Collaborate closely with production, procurement, project management, and site teams to ensure the physical design intent is maintained during execution. Project & Site Involvement · Conduct critical site visits to evaluate spatial conditions, verify precise measurements, and directly inform accurate design development. · Participate in coordination meetings with external consultants, contractors, engineers, and internal stakeholders to defend and adapt active designs. · Ensure all created solutions are practical, buildable, compliant with local regulations, and strictly aligned with project schedules. Client Interaction & Design Leadership · Spearhead client pitches and personally present creative concepts, design packages, and strategies with confidence and authority. · Engage directly with clients to gather feedback and execute design modifications hands-on while safeguarding the core design vision. · Demonstrate best practices in hands-on design production. QUALIFICATIONS Education · Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field. Experience · Minimum 6-8 years’ experience in a creative interior design role. · Proven mastery in concept development, advanced mood boards, and high-level design storytelling. · Extensive experience producing and overseeing comprehensive design packages for client and authority approvals. · Substantial project exposure across large-scale commercial, retail, and hospitality interiors. · Superior blend of visionary creative thinking and rigorous technical understanding. · Proficiency in: o AutoCAD o SketchUp o Photoshop (or equivalent) o 3D visualization / rendering tools · Fluent in English (written and spoken). · Arabic speaking is a strong plus. Preferred · International exposure: lived, studied, or worked abroad (Europe, UK, US, Canada preferred). · Extensive experience in design-led studios or high-end interior fit-out environments. · Proven background in GCC or international multi-project delivery environments. · Demonstrated history of successful client-handling and business development support. Technical Skills · Advanced expertise in concept generation, storytelling, and custom millwork/detailing. · Exceptional ability to translate high-level creative ideas into fully coordinated concept layouts, 3D visualizations, and documentation. · Deep knowledge of global materials, finishes, custom furniture specifications, and spatial lighting design. · Comprehensive understanding of interior construction methodologies, building codes, and cross-discipline coordination. · Proven capability to manage multiple complex design projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
