We are recognized by many of the world's leading retail and consumer brands for designing and building the fastest, most resilient, future-ready websites and applications that consistently deliver measurable outcomes in revenue RGG BIDW PM — role and responsibilities RGG is moving its current BIDW PM to the higher-risk Merch Engineering workstream, creating a gap across the two closely connected Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse teams. RGG is considering an embedded Space Dinosaurs PM to fill that gap for the SCAYLE program. The role is expected to be a senior, effectively full-time PM embedded in the BIDW team throughout the year—not a short discovery assignment. The primary focus is the business-intelligence impact of SCAYLE, rather than owning detailed data architecture or engineering. The person would: - Run day-to-day delivery within the BIDW workstream: planning, coordination, unblocking work, escalation, dependencies, risks, decisions, and stakeholder communication. - Lead or support discovery into how SCAYLE will affect reporting and downstream business processes. - Help evaluate the expected transition from current data-warehouse access to webhook-based data availability. - Identify where existing data, definitions, and reports can remain unchanged—and where something will work differently, require an alternative, or no longer be supported. - Translate those impacts for business stakeholders and facilitate requirement trade-offs. - Help document and manage the transition from current state through interim and future state. - Support data-mapping exercises and do some level of sanity-check the plan and delivery and decisions from a business perspective. - Coordinate validation as integrations are built, ensuring data is flowing correctly across the storefront and other technology teams into BIDW and its reporting outputs. - Partner closely with the Merch Engineering PM, particularly because merchandising is a major Tableau consumer and its workflows will change substantially. - Guide a relatively junior, though long-tenured, BIDW team through a large transformation. The PM is not expected to produce detailed API field mappings, database diagrams, Snowflake models, or architecture designs. RGG’s senior engineers are expected to own those areas. RGG may revisit whether additional architecture guidance is needed, particularly concerning industry-standard target design, but it is not currently part of the PM requirement. Relevant systems explicitly mentioned were SCAYLE, webhooks, Snowflake, Tableau, Jasper, and other downstream systems. Exact interfaces, webhook coverage, reports, and architectural components have not yet been inventoried. Required profile The strongest candidate would bring: - Senior PM/program-delivery experience - Retail or e-commerce experience to reduce business ramp-up - BI, reporting, data-integration, or data-transformation experience - Strong business and product judgment - Cross-functional stakeholder and change-management skills - Ability to facilitate team’s work on mappings and activities and challenge assumptions without being the architect - Experience coordinating engineering teams and integration dependencies - Comfort producing and facilitating definition of plans, documentation, impact assessments, options, and recommendations - Ability to operate as an embedded team member rather than an external status reporter Hands-on Snowflake or Tableau development was not requested. Familiarity with those environments would nevertheless improve credibility and ramp time. RGG does not expect Space Dinosaurs to own the BIDW team’s normal keep the lights on (KTLO) work. However, KTLO and new reporting-workaround requests will compete for the same team’s capacity, so the PM will need to account for that contention when planning the SCAYLE work.
