The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting skills, a sharp eye for compliance, and a strategic mindset to support our company's financial health. Key Responsibilities: 1. Ledger & Transaction Management: Review the daily financial transactions (purchases, sales, receipts, and payments) and general ledgers entered by accounting staff 2. Accounts Payable & Receivable (AP/AR): Review & process vendor invoices, manage client billings, track outstanding payments, and follow up on overdue accounts to maintain healthy cash flow. 3. Reconciliations : Perform regular bank reconciliations and vendor/customer account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies 4. Tax & Compliance : Assist in tracking tax liabilities (such as GST, VAT, or corporate taxes) and compile documentation required for internal and external audits 5. Financial Operations & Reporting: Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring precise balance sheets and profit/loss statements 6. Team Leadership : Mentor, supervise, and direct day-to-day work for accounting staff handling Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and payroll. 7. Compliance & Audits : Maintain internal controls and act as the primary point of contact for external statutory auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory filings Budgeting & Variance Analysis : Partner with executive leadership to formulate yearly financial budgets, map forecasts, and monitor cost-efficiency.
