Specification Writer
Braun Northwest, Inc. (BNW) is now hiring for a Specifications Writer in Chehalis, WA. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 40hrs per week with a start time between 6:00am and 8:00am. This position is overtime eligible. The compensation for this position is $23-$26/hr DOE/DOQ. BNW’s 401(k)-retirement plan is available for all full-time employees after one year of service. Braun Northwest is looking for the right candidate to fill our open Specification Writer position. This position is responsible for overall management and coordination of all specifications and drawings prior to the customer signing. Additionally, this position is responsible for reviewing sales drawings for accuracy. In order to be successful in this position, the candidate must have: the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. the ability to interpret emergency vehicle design plans and prepare specifications for the build process. the ability to write technical descriptions specifying materials, functions, and locations. the ability to sit for extended periods of time. the ability to work in front of a monitor for long periods of time. the ability to maintain a solid work attendance. the ability to demonstrate strong organizational skills and ability to focus on details. the ability to demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills. the ability to focus on details. These positions may require overtime and some Saturday work, along with maintaining a solid work attendance. Required Education: High School Diploma AA degree in business or equivalent from an accredited college preferred. Position Requirements: This position requires the use of Microsoft software such as; Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and mechanical aptitude. Required Requirements: Technical writing, automotive/production industry preferred Typing experience. Customer service experience. Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Experience working in a production/manufacturing environment (Preferred). Experience working with ERP systems (Preferred). Experience writing technical language (Preferred). Knowledge Requirements: Experience working with Microsoft Products.
