Responsibility - Engage with patients through various communication channels including telephone, email, and live chat, while also providing support to clinicians, insurers, and the management team to facilitate prompt account collections. - Work aged accounts, researching and reconciling credit balance accounts and processing adjustments as needed. - Review patient insurance coverage for genetic testing. - Document activities appropriately in process notes. - Participate in Quality Assurance plan. - Comply with applicable CLIA and HIPAA regulations. Qualifications - High school diploma or GED equivalent required. - 1+ years of experience in customer service/call center, working in medical billing, health insurance, or collections preferred. - Excellent customer service and phone skills, with good problem solving and decision-making skills. - Excellent time management, organizational, communication, multitasking, and teamwork skills. - Insurance billing experience with working knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding preferred. - Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Physical Requirements Lifting Requirements –light work or exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently. Physical Requirements –stationary positioning, moving, operating, ascending/descending, communicating, observing, pushing or pulling, and reaching.
