Job Description

Déjà Vu Dubai is looking for an experienced and passionate Sous Chef specializing in Mediterranean cuisine to join our culinary team.

The ideal candidate will have strong culinary skills, leadership abilities, and extensive knowledge of Mediterranean food, ingredients, and cooking techniques. You will work closely with the Head Chef to maintain exceptional food quality and ensure smooth daily kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations.
• Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure efficient service.
• Prepare and execute high-quality Mediterranean dishes.
• Maintain consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation.
• Monitor food costs, stock levels, and kitchen wastage.
• Ensure proper mise en place and smooth kitchen operations.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Train, motivate, and develop junior kitchen team members.
• Support menu development and seasonal culinary concepts.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef in Mediterranean cuisine.
• Strong knowledge of Mediterranean ingredients and cooking techniques.
• Previous experience in upscale restaurants or fine dining is preferred.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong knowledge of food costing, stock control, and kitchen operations.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional attitude and passion for culinary excellence.
