The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day accounting operations, project cost tracking, financial reporting, reconciliations, and supporting the financial management of our solar projects. This role is ideal for an accountant who enjoys working in a project-based environment and wants to build experience in the rapidly growing solar and renewable energy industry. Key Responsibilities Manage daily accounting transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and journal entries. Process and verify supplier, contractor, and subcontractor invoices. Track and record costs for individual solar projects. Monitor project budgets, actual costs, commitments, and project profitability. Reconcile bank accounts, vendor accounts, customer accounts, and general ledger balances. Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports. Assist with project costing, accruals, prepayments, and month-end closing. Maintain accurate records of solar equipment, fixed assets, and capital expenditures. Record and calculate depreciation of project-related assets. Monitor customer invoices, collections, and outstanding balances. Assist with cash-flow forecasting and project cash requirements. Prepare accounting schedules and supporting documentation for audits. Assist with tax compliance and other statutory reporting requirements. Work closely with project managers, procurement, operations, and management to ensure accurate financial information. Identify accounting discrepancies and resolve issues in a timely manner. Maintain organized and accurate financial records in accordance with company policies and applicable accounting standards. Perform other accounting and finance duties as required. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field . 1-2years of relevant accounting experience. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Good knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting. Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Strong communication and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications Must be Experience in solar, renewable energy, construction, engineering, or project-based companies . Experience with project costing and budget-versus-actual analysis. Experience handling construction or equipment-related capital expenditures. Experience with accounting software. CPA/ACCA or other professional accounting qualification is not required. Familiarity with local tax and accounting regulations is an advantage. What We Offer Competitive salary, depending on experience.
