Software & Web Applications Developer Shepherd’s Finance, LLC – Jacksonville, FL Full-Time | Entry Level / Early Career Salary: $50,000–$70,000 per year, depending on experience Job Summary Shepherd’s Finance is seeking a Software & Web Applications Developer to join our Jacksonville team. This position is ideal for a recent college graduate or early-career developer who wants hands-on experience working with web applications, databases, internal business systems, and customer-facing technology. The developer will work with our existing IT to improve our company website, help build a secure customer loan portal, and learn our internally developed Microsoft Access-based loan administration system. We are open to candidates with limited professional experience. Strong technical fundamentals, problem-solving ability, curiosity, and willingness to learn are more important than years of experience. Responsibilities Help redesign and improve the company website. Develop and maintain web-based applications. Help design and build a secure customer portal where borrowers can access approved loan information. Work with databases and business data. Work alongside the developer of our existing Microsoft Access-based loan administration system. Learn the structure and functionality of the existing loan system and assist with future enhancements. Create and modify queries, reports, forms, and application functionality as needed. Identify opportunities to automate or improve internal business processes. Test and troubleshoot applications and system changes. Maintain clear documentation of applications, processes, and system changes. Follow appropriate practices for protecting confidential company and customer information. Work with employees, management, IT personnel, and outside technology vendors as needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Development, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent technical education and experience. Recent graduates and early-career candidates are encouraged to apply. Basic programming and software development knowledge. Understanding of relational databases. Familiarity with SQL or database queries. Exposure to web development technologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to learn existing software and unfamiliar technologies. Good communication skills. Strong attention to detail. Professional programming experience is not required. Internships, college projects, personal projects, freelance work, and other demonstrated programming experience will be considered.
