The intern will gain hands-on experience in PHP, Laravel, Laravel Livewire, JavaScript, Alpine.js, MySQL, Git, and web application development while working alongside experienced developers. The successful candidate will assist in developing, testing, debugging, and maintaining web-based applications and will have the opportunity to apply their academic knowledge to real-world software development projects. This internship is ideal for students who are passionate about technology and are interested in pursuing a career in Software Engineering, Web Development, or Full-Stack Development. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Software Development Support Assist Software Engineers in developing and enhancing web-based applications using PHP and Laravel. Assist in developing application features using Laravel Livewire and Alpine.js. Write and modify basic code under the guidance of senior developers. Assist in implementing new features based on technical specifications and assigned tasks. Follow established coding standards and development practices. 2. Database Support Assist in creating and modifying database tables and relationships using MySQL. Write basic SQL queries. Assist in managing database migrations and Laravel Eloquent relationships. Help maintain data accuracy and integrity. 3. Front-End Development Assist in developing user interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Laravel Livewire. Apply basic front-end concepts to create responsive and user-friendly interfaces. Gain hands-on experience with Alpine.js and Tailwind CSS. 4. Testing & Debugging Assist in testing new and existing application features. Identify, document, and report bugs and system issues. Assist developers in troubleshooting coding and application problems. Perform basic functional testing of assigned features. 5. Version Control Use GitHub or Bitbucket for source code management. Learn and follow proper Git practices, including commits, branches, pull requests, and merging. Maintain proper documentation of code changes. 6. Documentation & Team Collaboration Assist in preparing technical and system documentation. Participate in team meetings, code reviews, and development discussions. Coordinate with Software Engineers and other team members regarding assigned tasks. Provide regular updates on assigned development activities. 7. Learning & Professional Development Actively learn and apply software development best practices. Research solutions to technical issues under the guidance of the development team. Stay updated with relevant programming technologies and frameworks. Accept feedback and continuously improve technical and professional skills. JOB QUALIFICATIONS Required Qualifications Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Must be eligible to complete an internship of at least 400 hours. Basic understanding of programming concepts and object-oriented programming. Basic knowledge of PHP or another programming language. Basic understanding of web development concepts. Familiarity with HTML and CSS. Basic knowledge of MySQL or relational databases. Willingness to learn Laravel and modern web development technologies. Familiarity with Git/GitHub/Bitbucket is an advantage. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good attention to detail. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Willing to learn and work collaboratively with a development team. TECHNICAL SKILLS – PREFERRED Candidates with knowledge or exposure to any of the following will have an advantage: PHP Laravel Framework Laravel Livewire JavaScript Alpine.js MySQL HTML5 / CSS3 Tailwind CSS Git / GitHub / Bitbucket RESTful APIs PHPUnit or Pest Basic software testing and debugging Applicants do not need to be proficient in all of the technologies listed above. Academic projects, personal projects, coursework, or self-study experience are welcome.
