The successful candidate will be involved throughout the project lifecycle, including control system design, software development, machine integration, testing, commissioning and technical support. This position is suitable for an engineer who is comfortable working independently on automation projects while coordinating closely with mechanical, electrical, application and project teams. Key Responsibilities Develop PLC programs and machine control software for industrial automation equipment. Configure and develop HMI and other operator control interfaces. Design control architecture and select suitable control hardware, instrumentation and related components. Integrate PLC systems with sensors, actuators, robots, vision systems and other third-party equipment. Participate in machine setup, debugging, testing and performance verification. Carry out on-site installation support and system commissioning when required. Diagnose electrical and software-related machine faults and implement suitable corrective actions. Coordinate with project, design and engineering teams to meet technical and delivery requirements. Prepare technical documents, program backups, operating information and project records. Support modifications and improvements to existing automation systems. Ensure assigned projects are completed according to project schedules and technical requirements. Perform other engineering duties relating to automation projects when required. Candidate Requirements Diploma or higher qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, Control Engineering or a related discipline. At least 2 years of relevant working experience involving industrial automation or machine control systems. Hands-on experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting. Experience with platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Omron or Beckhoff will be advantageous. Familiarity with HMI, SCADA, industrial communication networks and machine control systems. Knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++, C#, or .NET would be an advantage. Exposure to industrial robot programming or robot integration would be beneficial. Able to troubleshoot problems systematically and work with minimal supervision. Comfortable working as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team. Able to support machine commissioning and project activities when required. What We Are Looking For The ideal candidate should be able to take ownership of assigned control-system tasks from development through commissioning. You should be comfortable investigating machine problems, improving control logic and coordinating with other engineering disciplines to complete automation projects successfully. Practical automation experience, troubleshooting ability and a willingness to work directly with machines and production equipment are important for this position. Pay: $4,000.00 - $5,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
