Software Development Engineer - Job Overview We are looking for a Software Development Engineer with 4+ years of experience who can own backend systems and services across the product lifecycle. This role focuses on building scalable APIs, distributed systems, and high-performance backend infrastructure that powers our healthcare platform. We value engineers who can take ownership of problems, design reliable systems, and deliver production-ready solutions in a fast-paced environment. What You’ll Own: Backend Systems & APIs ● Design and build scalable backend services and APIs ● Develop high-performance, reliable, and maintainable systems ● Ensure seamless integration across internal and external services Distributed Systems & Scalability ● Build and optimize distributed systems for high availability and fault tolerance ● Implement asynchronous and event-driven architectures using queues and streams ● Design systems for observability, resilience, and graceful failure Data & System Performance ● Work with SQL and NoSQL databases for transactional and high-scale workloads ● Optimize system performance across application, database, and infrastructure layers ● Ensure efficient data handling and system throughput Cloud & Infrastructure ● Build and deploy services on AWS, GCP, or Azure ● Work with containerization technologies such as Docker (Kubernetes is a plus) ● Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for production systems Engineering Excellence ● Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code ● Participate in code reviews and improve engineering standards ● Take ownership of services from development through deployment and production What We're Looking For: Must Have ● 4+ years of backend development experience ● Strong proficiency in Python, NodeJS, or Go ● Experience building and operating production backend systems and APIs ● Solid understanding of distributed systems and system design fundamentals ● Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases ● Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) ● Strong debugging and problem-solving skills ● Ability to take ownership and work independently on complex problems Nice to Have ● Experience with message brokers like Kafka or similar systems ● Familiarity with microservices architecture and event-driven systems ● Exposure to healthcare standards such as HL7, FHIR, or HIPAA ● Experience integrating with EHR/EMR systems or healthcare APIs ● Experience working on high-scale or data-intensive systems Benefits: Health insurance Provident Fund Application Question(s): what is your current ctc Expected CTC What is your notice period Experience: Back-end development: 4 years (Required) Python: 4 years (Required) NodeJS: 3 years (Preferred) Location: Bangalore City, Bengaluru, Karnataka (Preferred) Work Location: In person
