Social Media Lead DXB Job Description
Job Summary
DigitalQatalyst is seeking a commercially minded and execution-focused Social Media Lead to lead its Digital Lead Generation (DLG) social media team and convert the organisation’s digital presence, executive thought leadership, and 6xD intellectual property into qualified B2B conversations, leads, meetings, demos, and commercial pipeline.
The successful candidate will lead and coordinate the work of social media team members and freelancers, manage content and prospecting workflows, maintain publishing quality, develop targeted account lists, and drive structured engagement with relevant organisations and decision-makers.
This is a full-time, office-based leadership and project-management role in Dubai , combining team coordination, B2B social selling, account-based prospecting, lead qualification, and commercial performance tracking.
The role is not primarily focused on increasing followers or publishing content volume. Success will be measured by the quality and timeliness of team delivery and the ability to translate content and social engagement into measurable commercial opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Social Media Operations
- Lead and coordinate the social media team, including freelancers and other assigned contributors.
- Establish weekly priorities, allocate tasks, assign clear owners, and set delivery deadlines.
- Manage the social media operating calendar across assigned channels and campaigns.
- Track daily progress and ensure content, prospecting, and lead-generation activities remain on schedule.
- Identify delivery bottlenecks, reassign work where necessary, and escalate risks promptly.
- Provide timely, constructive feedback to team members and freelancers.
- Maintain accountability for team output, work quality, and agreed deliverables.
- Establish repeatable workflows for content generation, publishing, engagement, prospecting, and lead processing.
- Report team performance, delivery status, and commercial outcomes to leadership on a weekly basis.
Content Planning, Quality Assurance & Activation
- Coordinate the planning, production, and activation of social media content across DQ, 6xD, and associated initiatives.
- Maintain a structured content calendar aligned with business priorities and commercial campaigns.
- Ensure published content has a clear hook, one central message or story, and one primary call to action.
- Verify copy accuracy, working links, appropriate tags, and consistency with approved brand and editorial standards.
- Ensure content is written in clear, accessible language for its intended audience.
- Map available 6xD intellectual property, thought leadership, and other content assets to relevant audiences and business challenges.
- Coordinate with Editorial and other internal stakeholders to ensure content is commercially relevant and ready for activation.
- Monitor publishing quality and adherence to agreed schedules.
- Identify opportunities to repurpose content and improve its relevance to target organisations.
- Use engagement and conversion data to recommend improvements to content topics, messaging, and calls to action.
B2B Targeting, Account Research & Social Prospecting
- Define and maintain Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs), buyer personas, and priority commercial audiences.
- Research target organisations, executives, decision-makers, and relevant stakeholders.
- Build and maintain structured target-account and contact lists.
- Use LinkedIn and Sales Navigator to identify relevant prospects and develop qualified professional connections.
- Prioritise organisations and decision-makers based on business fit, relevant challenges, and potential commercial interest.
- Develop targeted engagement plans around DQ's and 6xD's products, services, intellectual property, and thought leadership.
- Coordinate contextual interactions with target accounts through relevant content, comments, connections, and direct conversations.
- Avoid generic, high-volume outreach in favour of relevant, personalised, and commercially purposeful engagement.
- Track target-account activity and identify opportunities for further engagement.
- Maintain accurate records of prospecting activity and emerging opportunities.
Intent Detection, Engagement & Lead Qualification
- Monitor social engagement to distinguish general audience activity from genuine commercial interest.
- Identify buying signals, relevant business challenges, requests for information, and expressions of interest.
- Initiate and nurture contextual conversations with relevant prospects.
- Qualify potential leads based on organisational fit, decision-making authority, business challenge, commercial intent, and timing.
- Determine appropriate next steps for promising conversations, including further engagement, discovery discussions, meetings, or demonstrations.
- Progress relevant contacts from initial engagement to qualified lead or opportunity status.
- Maintain clear records of prospect interactions, qualification findings, and follow-up requirements.
- Coordinate with team members to ensure promising conversations are not lost through delayed or inconsistent follow-up.
- Escalate qualified prospects and high-intent interactions for commercial action.
Commercial Handoff & Pipeline Development
- Route qualified leads to the appropriate DQ Commercial or Business Development owner.
- Provide clear handoff notes covering the prospect's organisation, role, business challenge, engagement history, demonstrated interest, and recommended next action.
- Ensure CRM and lead-tracker records are complete, accurate, and up to date.
- Maintain consistent lead-status definitions and progression records.
- Track lead movement from social engagement through qualification, meeting generation, and subsequent commercial follow-up.
- Coordinate with Commercial to understand lead quality, meeting outcomes, and conversion barriers.
- Monitor the number of qualified conversations, leads, meetings, demos, and opportunities generated through social activity.
- Analyse conversion performance and identify where leads are progressing or dropping off.
- Feed commercial insights back to Editorial and relevant stakeholders to improve content and campaign effectiveness.
- Support the measurement of pipeline sourced and influenced by social media activity.
Performance Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Establish a structured weekly reporting cadence covering team delivery, prospecting activity, lead generation, and commercial outcomes.
- Monitor on-time delivery, content quality, publishing adherence, target-account engagement, and lead-conversion rates.
- Analyse which audiences, content topics, campaigns, and calls to action generate the strongest results.
- Maintain traceability between content assets, audience engagement, qualified leads, and pipeline outcomes.
- Identify operational gaps and implement practical improvements to workflows and team performance.
- Use performance evidence to refine targeting, messaging, prospecting priorities, and follow-up processes.
- Develop repeatable playbooks for effective social selling and commercial lead generation.
