Social Media & Content Manager - Prequel
You do not want to sit behind a content calendar and schedule posts someone else wrote. You want to find the story, film it, shape it, ship it, and prove it worked. If you need a mature playbook, a narrow lane, or weeks to plan before publishing, this will feel too exposed. If you learn fast, make real content, and care about what families believe before they choose a school, keep reading. Prequel is building family trust through stories that show what students can do when school works differently. This role exists because great education does not spread through polished slogans. It spreads through clear proof: a student breakthrough, a parent concern answered, a campus moment captured well, a short video that makes the right family stop scrolling. You will spend time in schools, interview students and families, turn raw moments into strong content, and use performance data to decide what comes next. This is also a chance to learn AI-driven marketing systems while building them. You will use AI for research, drafting, editing, repurposing, search content, and workflow design, but you will not publish machine-written noise. Your job is to protect accuracy, voice, and story while increasing output. One strong source story should become a set of useful assets across Instagram, LinkedIn, Threads, search, and other channels. This is an early-career role with unusual ownership. You will not manage a team or a paid media budget. You will build proof, systems, and judgment by shipping. If you have already created content for a real audience and want your work to shape how families discover a new kind of school, apply. Create platform-native organic content for Instagram, LinkedIn, Threads, and related channels, including hooks, scripts, captions, carousels, and short-form videos Interview students and families in person at Prequel schools, then turn raw conversations into clear, consented stories with strong proof points Shoot, assemble, edit, and package lightweight photo and video assets using accessible tools Use AI tools to research, draft, edit, repurpose, and quality-check content packages across multiple channels Review social and search performance data, then apply the learning to the next content cycle This role exists so Prequel earns more awareness, trust, engagement, and qualified family demand through high-performing organic content. Portfolio with at least 5 examples of self-created social, video, written, or campaign content Evidence of owning content for a real audience, such as a college club, student organization, internship, side project, creator account, or small business Ability to independently concept, film, edit, and package short-form video Strong writing and editing skills, shown through clear audience-specific work samples Practical use of AI in a real content workflow beyond isolated caption ideas Must already be based in Arizona, be eligible for Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance, and be able to travel regularly to school locations in Arizona and Texas Legal authorization to work in the United States Recent bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, media, business, education, or a related field Experience turning interviews into concise written, photo, or video stories Experience using content metrics such as watch time, saves, shares, comments, profile visits, or inquiries to improve future work Exposure to search-optimized writing, programmatic SEO, or editorial review of AI-generated articles Experience building prompts, templates, or lightweight automations for content production
