This role bridges project management and on-site execution, driving daily productivity, worker coordination, and quality control. Key Responsibilities Site Supervision & Schedule: Direct daily workflow, track progress against timelines, and coordinate tasks with subcontractors and site crews to ensure deadlines are met. Quality Assurance & Defect Management: Conduct routine inspections of ongoing work, compare workmanship against technical specifications, and manage swift defect rectifications. Safety & Compliance: Enforce site safety rules, mandate proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) usage, hold daily toolbox meetings, and maintain clean, organized work areas. Resource & Material Coordination: Monitor daily manpower, verify the timely arrival and availability of required tools and materials, and report resource shortages to the Site Engineer. Reporting & Communication: Maintain accurate daily site logs, issue clear task instructions to crews, and escalate technical issues or project delays immediately to management. 2. Senior / Lead Site Supervisor Job Summary The Senior Site Supervisor oversees all trade activities across complex construction sites, leading junior supervisors, trade foremen, and subcontractor teams. This role focuses on high-efficiency site logistics, complex problem resolution, proactive safety culture, and maintaining strict adherence to master project schedules. Key Responsibilities Advanced Site Leadership: Manage day-to-day site execution, supervise junior supervisory staff and specialized trade leads, and optimize overall manpower utilization. Subcontractor & Schedule Integration: Coordinate sequence of works across multi-disciplinary subcontractors, resolve schedule conflicts on-site, and keep execution aligned with master milestones. Quality Control & Standard Enforcement: Oversee rigorous quality check processes, lead mock-up approvals, and coordinate directly with Site Engineers to address complex constructability issues. Site Logistics & Material Allocation: Plan site access, staging areas, material deliveries, and heavy machinery utilization to prevent site bottlenecks. High-Level Reporting & Safety Governance: Chair site briefing meetings, conduct risk assessments, enforce site-wide environmental and safety protocols, and submit detailed progress reports to the Project Manager. 3. Safety-Focused Site Supervisor (HSE Alignment) Job Summary The Safety-Focused Site Supervisor balances trade productivity with strict adherence to environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations. This position ensures site operations proceed efficiently while actively identifying hazards, maintaining full compliance, and cultivating a safe working environment. Key Responsibilities Safety Enforcement & Risk Mitigation: Audit daily site activities for compliance with safety standards, inspect scaffolds, rigging, and machinery, and immediately halt unsafe work. Toolbox Talks & Safety Briefings: Conduct mandatory daily safety briefings, train workers on task-specific hazards, and ensure 100% PPE compliance across all workers and visitors. Safe Operational Execution: Supervise general construction tasks while ensuring all method statements and risk assessments are strictly applied by subcontractors. Incident Investigation & Environmental Housekeeping: Report all near-misses, injuries, or hazards immediately, lead basic incident reviews, and enforce ongoing site housekeeping standards. Safety Quality Audits & Reporting: Prepare site safety checklists alongside standard daily progress reports, submitting all logs directly to the Safety Manager and Project Engineer. 4. Quality Control (QA/QC) Site Supervisor Job Summary The QA/QC Site Supervisor ensures all materials, workmanship, and construction processes comply precisely with project drawings, engineering specifications, and regulatory codes. This targeted role minimizes rework by catching structural and finishing defects early in the construction process. Key Responsibilities Inspection & Testing Protocol: Inspect structural work, finishes, and MEP installations at designated hold points before allowing subsequent construction steps to proceed. Material Verification: Check incoming raw materials and prefabricated elements against approved sample boards and technical data sheets before installation. Defect Tracking & Rectification: Document non-conformance issues, issue internal punch lists to trade contractors, and re-inspect corrected work for final sign-off. Workmanship Standard Enforcement: Monitor worker techniques on-site, offer immediate feedback on substandard work, and enforce compliance with standard operating procedures. Quality Documentation: Maintain organized inspection records, keep material test logs up to date, and report daily quality metrics to the QA/QC Manager or Site Engineer.
