Site Supervisor – Appointed Person (Lifting Operations) Job Title: Site Supervisor – AP - (Lifting Operations) WMS Certified-ADNOC Location: Abu Dhabi Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor – Appointed Person (AP) to supervise daily site activities and take responsibility for the safe planning, coordination, and execution of lifting operations. The successful candidate should have strong site supervision experience and demonstrated competency in lifting operations, lifting plans, crane operations, rigging, risk assessment, and site safety . Key Responsibilities Site Supervision Supervise and coordinate daily site activities and ensure work is completed according to approved drawings, method statements, specifications, and project schedules. Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractors on site. Monitor the progress and quality of construction activities. Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, HSE Officers, subcontractors, and other site personnel. Ensure proper housekeeping, access, work areas, and site organization. Conduct daily site inspections and identify potential safety or operational issues. Ensure workers follow company HSE procedures and site requirements. Report progress, delays, manpower requirements, and site issues to management. Ensure work is carried out safely, efficiently, and according to the approved program. Appointed Person (AP) – Lifting Operations Act as the designated Appointed Person for lifting operations , where formally appointed and competent to do so. Plan, coordinate, and control lifting operations in accordance with approved procedures and project requirements. Prepare, review, and implement lifting plans, lift studies, risk assessments, and method statements/RAMS . Ensure lifting equipment, cranes, lifting accessories, and rigging gear have valid inspection and certification before use. Establish and maintain appropriate exclusion zones and safe access around lifting areas. Ensure lifting operations are performed strictly in accordance with the approved lifting plan. Monitor lifting operations and immediately stop the activity if unsafe conditions, equipment defects, or deviations from the approved plan are identified. Maintain records of lifting plans, inspections, certificates, permits, toolbox talks, and lifting activities. Coordinate with HSE and engineering teams for complex, critical, or non-routine lifting operations. Report lifting-related incidents, near misses, unsafe conditions, and deviations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
