The candidate will be responsible for installation, termination, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and documentation of fiber and ELV cabling systems within data center environments. Key Responsibilities - Perform installation, routing, dressing, labeling, and termination of fiber and ELV cables within data center facilities. - Install and maintain fiber/copper structured cabling, patch panels, racks, and cable management systems . - Carry out fiber termination, splicing, testing, and troubleshooting as required. - Perform cable tracing, identification, labeling, and connectivity checks. - Assist with installation and maintenance of ELV systems within data center facilities. - Follow data center cabling standards and ensure neat and organized cable management. - Conduct testing and basic fault finding of cabling and connectivity issues. - Read and follow rack layouts, cable schedules, floor plans, and technical drawings . - Assist engineers and supervisors with installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance activities. - Maintain accurate records of cable installations, testing results, labeling, and completed works. - Coordinate with data center operations, engineering, and project teams to complete assigned tasks. - Follow strict data center security, safety, access, and operational procedures . - Ensure all work is carried out with minimal disruption to critical data center operations. Requirements - ITI / Diploma or relevant technical qualification preferred. - 2–5 years of experience as an ELV, Fiber, Data Center, or Structured Cabling Technician. - Experience working in a data center environment is highly preferred. - Hands-on experience with fiber and structured cabling installation. - Knowledge of racks, patch panels, cable trays, cable management, and labeling . - Basic knowledge of ELV systems and data center infrastructure. - Ability to read technical drawings, rack layouts, and cable schedules. - Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. - Strong attention to detail and good cable management practices. - Ability to work in a controlled and highly organized data center environment. - Willingness to work shifts or on-call schedules when required. - UAE experience is preferred.
