Site Architect Inspector

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure architectural works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Monitor the quality of architectural finishing works, including flooring, tiling, plastering, painting, ceilings, partitions, doors, windows, façades, and waterproofing.
• Review architectural shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements and provide technical comments within the assigned authority.
• Inspect materials delivered to the site and verify compliance with approved material submissions and project specifications.
• Review and respond to Work Inspection Requests (WIRs) and Material Inspection Requests (MIRs).
• Identify construction defects, non-compliance, and quality issues, and coordinate corrective actions with contractors.
• Assist in preparing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), site observation reports, and inspection records.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, MEP, and other disciplines to resolve site-related technical issues.
• Ensure architectural works are carried out in accordance with relevant UAE building codes, authority requirements, and project quality standards.
• Monitor contractors' progress and report delays or discrepancies to the Resident Engineer or Project Manager.
• Attend site meetings and participate in quality inspections and project coordination.
• Support snagging, de-snagging, testing, commissioning interfaces, and final handover inspections.
• Maintain accurate site inspection records, documentation, and progress reports.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7–10 years of relevant experience in architectural site inspection or construction supervision.
• Previous experience working with an architectural or engineering consultancy is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of architectural finishes, construction methodologies, materials, and quality control procedures.
• Familiarity with Dubai Municipality regulations, UAE building codes, and relevant authority requirements.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and other relevant technical software.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Previous UAE construction project experience is highly preferred.
