The Site Architect will be responsible for monitoring architectural works on site, ensuring that construction is executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, project requirements, and applicable UAE authority regulations. The role will involve close coordination with contractors, consultants, engineers, and project management teams to ensure architectural quality and timely project delivery. Key Responsibilities Supervise and monitor architectural works at site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements. Review architectural shop drawings, material submissions, samples, and method statements. Conduct regular site inspections and identify discrepancies, defects, and non-compliant works. Coordinate with the contractor, structural, MEP, and other engineering disciplines to resolve site-related architectural issues. Review and respond to RFIs, technical queries, and architectural coordination issues. Ensure that approved materials and finishes are properly implemented on site. Monitor architectural finishing works including blockwork, plastering, flooring, ceilings, doors, windows, cladding, painting, joinery, waterproofing interfaces, and other architectural elements. Verify that works are executed according to approved shop drawings and coordinated details. Prepare and issue site observation reports, inspection requests, snag lists, and related site documentation. Review contractor progress and provide technical feedback regarding architectural works. Coordinate with the project team regarding design changes, variations, and technical issues. Participate in site meetings and provide architectural updates and recommendations. Follow up on outstanding architectural works and ensure timely closure of comments and snags. Coordinate with the contractor to ensure proper sequencing and interface between architectural and MEP/structural works. Assist in reviewing as-built drawings and project close-out documentation. Ensure compliance with applicable Abu Dhabi regulations, authority requirements, project specifications, and approved design. Support the Senior Architect and Project Manager in maintaining the required quality standards throughout the project. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from a recognized university. 5–8 years of relevant architectural experience , preferably with consultancy or site supervision experience in the UAE. Strong knowledge of architectural construction details and finishing works. Good knowledge of UAE construction practices and authority requirements. Previous experience working on residential, commercial, hospitality, or large-scale building projects is preferred. Strong ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings. Proficiency in AutoCAD is required. Knowledge of Revit, BIM, MS Office, and other relevant software is an advantage. Strong communication and coordination skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple site-related issues. UAE consultancy/site supervision experience is highly preferred.
