Job Summary

As a Siemens Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Engineer, you’ll connect production operations with digital systems to improve how manufacturing work is planned, tracked, and analyzed. You’ll collaborate across engineering, operations, quality, and automation teams to troubleshoot issues and support reliable production. Your impact: By improving MES workflows and production data visibility, you help manufacturing teams identify problems sooner and keep work moving safely and consistently.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Opcenter MES Delivery – Lead implementations from requirements gathering and discovery through solution design and configuration, development, testing, deployment, commissioning, and production support.
• Opcenter Solution Configuration & Development – Configure and extend Opcenter Execution , Opcenter Execution , Opcenter X, , and Intelligence to support production execution, WIP, material tracking, genealogy/traceability, quality, and shop-floor workflows.
• MES Integration & Architecture – Design and implement integrations between Opcenter and ERP, databases, IT/OT systems, automation equipment, and manufacturing data platforms, including technologies such as SAP, Connect MOM, MQTT, and UNS architectures.
• Manufacturing Process & Solution Design – Translate discrete and process manufacturing requirements into scalable MES solutions, producing functional specifications, technical designs, interface definitions, data mappings, and production workflows.
• Customer & Technical Leadership – Facilitate discovery workshops and assessments, lead technical discussions across manufacturing, IT/OT, ERP, and automation teams, and support solution architecture, pre-sales, stakeholder communication, and customer training.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate strong working knowledge of the manufacturing transaction life cycle within MES.
• Ensure expertise/familiarity in database architecture, Transact-SQL, REST APIs, JSON/XML, OData, OPC UA.
• Familiarity with all Opcenter MES offerings is a bonus.
• CORE expertise is preferred as is Discrete and Process.
• Knowledge of new Siemens solutions and roadmap is preferred, especially if less than 7-10 years of solution design experience.
• Experience practicing in industrial, manufacturing, or process engineering, with factory or manufacturing facility experience; assembly line experience is valuable.
• Knowledge of manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial equipment, and engineering troubleshooting.
• Experience with project scheduling or project management in manufacturing, cross-functional collaboration, and team leadership.
• Exposure to programmable logic controllers, robotics, robot programming, tooling, quality improvement programs, lean management, Six Sigma manufacturing, or quantum engineering is welcome.

Pay: $98,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
