Wicklow . This is an afternoon/evening position suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment and is confident leading a team. You will play an important role in keeping the production and dispatch operation running smoothly, making sure orders are completed on time and that our high standards of food quality, hygiene and safety are maintained. The Role As Shift Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day activities of the production team, with a particular focus on packing and dispatch . You will work closely with production staff and management to organise workloads, solve problems and ensure the shift runs efficiently. Main Responsibilities - Supervise and support a team of production and packing operatives during the shift. - Organise daily workloads and make sure production and dispatch deadlines are achieved. - Monitor the production process and identify any delays or issues. - Ensure products are packed, labelled and dispatched accurately and to the required standard. - Carry out regular quality checks and ensure company specifications are followed. - Maintain high standards of food hygiene, health and safety throughout the production area. - Follow HACCP procedures and ensure compliance with relevant FSAI and food safety requirements. - Ensure allergen controls, product traceability and other food safety procedures are followed correctly. - Train and support team members in production procedures, equipment use, hygiene and safe working practices. - Assist with resolving machinery or production issues and escalate problems where necessary. - Communicate effectively with the Production Manager and other departments regarding progress, staffing, issues and targets. - Complete relevant production, quality and dispatch records accurately. - Help maintain a clean, organised and efficient working environment. - Support the team during busy periods and adapt to changing production requirements. What We Are Looking For - 2–3 years' experience in a production, manufacturing or food production environment. - Previous experience supervising or leading a team is an advantage. - Good understanding of food hygiene, HACCP and food safety practices . - Experience in a bakery, food manufacturing or commercial kitchen environment would be beneficial. - Basic understanding of production machinery and equipment. - Good problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure. - Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. - Confident communication and the ability to give clear instructions to a team. - A practical, hands-on approach to work. - Reliable, punctual and willing to take responsibility for the smooth running of the shift. - Comfortable working in a busy environment where priorities can change throughout the day.
