Production Shift Supervisor

Full-time

Shift Available: Day (7 am - 3:30 pm)

Compensation: $20-$25/hr., and available profit sharing

Description of the Role:

Lead production operations of plastic injection molding facility during relevant shift. Manage shift resources and ensure efficient and safe manufacturing of all products. Collaborate with other shift managers to deliver company-wide key performance indicators and drive continuous improvement. Train, evaluate, and retain production talent and push employees to be their best.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead by example, ensuring a safe and efficient workplace is maintained at all times
• Ensure all goods produced during the shift meet customer specifications and company requirements
• Ensure that Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) are monitored, and targets achieved
• Provide direction and feedback to workers during shifts
• Train and coach employees and temporary workers, providing feedback and direction real-time as well as during formal reviews
• Provide feedback for, and evaluate production schedules and assign employee duties accordingly
• Coordinate and provide material handling services
• Effectively coordinate with other departments (including sales, quality, design, scheduling, procurement, accounting, human resources, and maintenance)
• Communicate with other shift managers to drive continuous improvement throughout the company
• Manage time-off requests and manage last-minute absences
• Monitor equipment and communicate the need for repairs or replacements
• Ensure health and safety standards are followed
• Ensure all external and internal audit standards and improvement requirements are met
• Foster and maintain a positive work environment

Education and Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
• Proven management track record, preferably within manufacturing management
• Proficient in English, Spanish language skills a plus
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
