We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Sewage & Stormwater Foreman to join our team and supervise drainage, sewage, and stormwater infrastructure works. Job Summary The Sewage & Stormwater Foreman will be responsible for supervising daily site activities related to sewerage networks, stormwater drainage systems, pipelines, manholes, chambers, catch basins, and associated civil works . The successful candidate should have strong practical experience in underground utility and drainage construction and be capable of managing workers, equipment, materials, and daily site activities. Key Responsibilities - Supervise and coordinate daily sewage and stormwater drainage works . - Organize and allocate manpower according to the daily work plan. - Supervise excavation, trenching, shoring, bedding, pipe laying, backfilling, and compaction. - Supervise installation of sewerage and stormwater pipelines . - Ensure correct pipe alignment, levels, gradients, and connections as instructed by the Site Engineer and Surveyor. - Supervise construction and installation of manholes, inspection chambers, catch basins, gullies, and drainage structures . - Coordinate with surveyors for setting out, levels, invert levels, alignment, and slopes. - Supervise pipe jointing, connections, testing, and inspection activities. - Coordinate with excavator operators, laborers, pipe layers, surveyors, and other site personnel. - Ensure trenches are prepared correctly before pipe installation. - Monitor excavation depths and ensure safe working conditions inside and around trenches. - Supervise installation of concrete surrounds, protection works, chambers, and other associated civil works. - Coordinate with dewatering teams where groundwater is encountered during excavation. - Ensure proper backfilling and compaction after inspection and approval. - Monitor the use of materials and minimize unnecessary wastage. - Check delivered pipes, fittings, manhole components, and other materials before installation. - Maintain daily records of manpower, materials, equipment, and work progress. - Report daily progress and site issues to the Site Engineer/Project Manager. - Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspections, testing, and approvals. - Assist with pressure/leakage tests, CCTV inspection, flushing, cleaning, and other required testing activities where applicable. - Coordinate with other utility teams to avoid conflicts with existing services. - Ensure all works comply with approved drawings, method statements, project specifications, and site instructions. - Ensure workers follow project HSE requirements and use appropriate PPE. - Maintain good housekeeping and safe access around excavation and drainage work areas. - Identify unsafe conditions and immediately report them to the Site Engineer/HSE team. - Perform other duties related to sewage, stormwater, and drainage works as required. Requirements - Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in sewage, stormwater, drainage, or underground utility construction. - UAE/GCC experience is preferred. - Proven experience supervising sewerage and stormwater networks . - Practical experience with underground pipe installation and trenching works. - Experience with manholes, inspection chambers, catch basins, gullies, drainage structures, and associated civil works . - Good understanding of pipe levels, gradients, alignment, invert levels, and drainage layouts. - Ability to read and understand construction drawings and utility layouts. - Experience coordinating with surveyors for setting out and level checks. - Experience working with excavators, compactors, pumps, and other construction equipment. - Knowledge of excavation, shoring, trench safety, backfilling, and compaction. - Experience working around existing underground utilities is an advantage. - Knowledge of dewatering during drainage and sewerage excavation is an advantage. - Good knowledge of construction site safety requirements. - Strong manpower and team supervision skills. - Good communication and coordination skills. - Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors and on active construction sites. - Candidates currently available in the UAE are preferred. - Immediate joiners or candidates with a short notice period are preferred. Preferred Candidate Profile We are looking for a hands-on Sewage & Stormwater Foreman with practical experience in underground drainage and utility construction. Candidates with experience in Abu Dhabi infrastructure projects, sewerage networks, stormwater networks, deep drainage, manholes, catch basins, pipe laying, excavation, dewatering, and road drainage works will be preferred. The candidate should be capable of independently supervising a team of workers and coordinating with Site Engineers, Surveyors, QA/QC, HSE personnel, equipment operators, and subcontractors .
