We are seeking a versatile Service and Maintenance Engineer to join our field team. This role covers both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive fault resolution across a diverse client portfolio which include, Airport, DOOH, Rail and Retail. Because site access requirements vary—ranging from day-time retail support to out-of-hours airport maintenance—this position requires a candidate who can flexibly work a mix of day and night shifts depending on operational needs. This is a field-based role primarily covering the engineer’s home region, however travel to other regions and occasional overseas work may be required. This is a key position within ADXBA and carries responsibility for maintaining high service standards and client relationships. Key Responsibilities: Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance on digital and traditional signage (standalone units, video walls, LED displays) Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, including hardware and software problems Replace faulty components and modules as needed Conduct preventative maintenance to minimise downtime Working Hours & Shift Structure Shift Pattern: Rotational mix of Day and Night shifts, determined by client access windows, project schedules, and reactive maintenance requirements. On-Call Rota: Participation in a shared 1-in-4 week on-call rota for emergency response. Flexibility: Occasional weekend work and travel away from home as dictated by client demand Site Management: Manage and maintain multiple sites, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards Coordinate with clients and internal teams to schedule and execute maintenance tasks Document and report on all service activities Installation and Commissioning: Assist with the installation and commissioning of new signage systems Configure and optimise system settings to ensure optimal performance Customer Support: Provide excellent customer service, addressing client concerns and resolving issues promptly Build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders Qualifications and Experience: Technical Knowledge: Strong background in DOOH, AV, digital signage, or IT hardware/networking support. Certifications: Valid UK Driver’s License (Required). IPAF (1b, 3a, 3b), PASMA, Working at Height, and Manual Handling certificates are preferred. Airport Clearance: Previous experience in airport environments or holding an active airport security badge is advantageous. Must be eligible to pass standard 5-year background checks for site access passes Experience with troubleshooting and repairing hardware and software issues Knowledge of network infrastructure and communication protocols Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Working at Height Manual Handling Additional Requirements: Willingness to travel to various sites, including remote locations Flexibility to work outside of standard business hours, including on-call shifts Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Working Hours & Shift Structure Shift Pattern: Rotational mix of Day and Night shifts, determined by client access windows, project schedules, and reactive maintenance requirements.
