We design and build high performance websites and marketing campaigns for ambitious businesses across the UK and internationally. About the Role We are looking for an ambitious and commercially minded SEO Executive to join our digital team. You will help manage the organic performance of a varied portfolio of client websites, ranging from local businesses through to larger organisations and ecommerce companies. This is a practical, hands-on SEO role covering technical SEO, keyword research, content strategy, on-page optimisation, analytics and performance reporting. You will be trusted to monitor your assigned clients, investigate changes in performance, identify opportunities and turn data into clear, prioritised actions. You won't be working alone. You will work closely with our development, design, content and account management teams to implement improvements and deliver measurable results for our clients. For us, successful SEO isn't simply about rankings and traffic. We want to understand whether organic search is attracting the right audience and ultimately generating enquiries, sales and commercial growth for our clients. A genuine career path This isn't a role where we expect someone to remain an SEO Executive indefinitely. For the right person, there is a genuine pathway to progress through the business into SEO Manager and ultimately Head of SEO . As your knowledge and experience develop, we want you to take increasing ownership of client strategy, processes, reporting and eventually the wider direction of SEO within the business. We're looking for somebody who wants to develop their career with us and who is excited by the opportunity to help shape how our SEO department evolves. We are also investing heavily in AI, automation, analytics and reporting technology. You'll have the opportunity to help shape how these tools are used across research, analysis and campaign delivery, while maintaining the human judgement and quality control that effective SEO requires. What you'll be doing Your responsibilities will include: Managing ongoing SEO activity across an assigned portfolio of client websites Monitoring organic performance using GA4, Google Search Console and keyword-tracking software Identifying changes in traffic, rankings, visibility, enquiries, conversions and ecommerce revenue Carrying out keyword research based on search intent, commercial relevance and realistic ranking opportunities Planning and implementing on-page SEO improvements Optimising headings, website content, internal linking, title tags and meta descriptions Reviewing existing content and identifying opportunities for new service pages, landing pages and articles Writing, editing and proofreading high-quality website content Conducting technical SEO audits and prioritising issues according to their likely impact Monitoring website health, including crawlability, indexing, redirects, broken links and metadata Supporting the optimisation and launch of new client websites Reviewing user journeys and identifying opportunities to improve enquiries and conversions Testing title tags and meta descriptions to improve organic click-through rates Monitoring backlink profiles and identifying potentially harmful or valuable links Producing clear performance reports with useful commentary and recommended next steps Maintaining accurate records of completed work, priorities and outstanding actions Communicating recommendations clearly to colleagues and clients Keeping up to date with developments across traditional search, AI-assisted search and wider digital marketing About you We're looking for somebody who is curious, organised, commercially aware and comfortable taking ownership of their work. You should enjoy investigating performance, understanding why something has happened and deciding what should be done next. We don't expect you to be an expert in every area listed in this advert. You'll have access to experienced people across development, design and digital marketing, with training and support available as you develop. What we do want is a solid understanding of SEO fundamentals, the confidence to use your initiative and a genuine desire to build your knowledge and career. Ideally, you'll have: Previous experience in an SEO, digital marketing or website-focused role A good understanding of technical, on-page and content-led SEO Experience using Google Analytics 4 and Google Search Console Experience conducting keyword research and mapping search terms to appropriate pages The ability to interpret data and explain what it means in plain English Strong written English with good copywriting and proofreading skills The ability to manage multiple clients, deadlines and priorities Confidence working independently while knowing when to ask for support Strong attention to detail A proactive and commercially aware approach An interest in AI and how it can responsibly improve SEO research, analysis and workflows Experience with any of the following would be beneficial, but isn't essential: SEMrush or similar SEO platforms Keyword-tracking software WordPress and WooCommerce Ecommerce SEO Backlink analysis and disavow files Redirect mapping and website migrations Conversion tracking and Google Tag Manager SEO reporting dashboards AI-assisted research, content and data-analysis tools What's in It for You?
