Senior US Accountant | Work From Home
The US Senior Accountant plays a critical role in delivering high-quality financial operations for our US-based clients. This position is responsible for the end-to-end accounting cycle, from transaction processing and reconciliation through month-end close and financial reporting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, client-focused, and capable of managing a high volume of transactions with accuracy and efficiency. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work independently across multiple client accounts. Core Responsibilities I. Core Transaction Processing and Reconciliation Categorize all client transactions across all bank accounts, handling a minimum of 4,000 transactions per month. Reconcile all bank accounts for each assigned client, covering a minimum of 6 banks per month. Process Accounts Receivable (invoices) and Accounts Payable (bills) on a monthly basis from multiple platforms and sites. II. Month-End Close Schedules and Preparation Prepare and maintain monthly Expense and Revenue Accruals. Prepare and maintain monthly Prepaid Expense and Deferred Revenue schedules. Prepare and maintain monthly Fixed assets and Intangible asset schedules. Prepare necessary adjustments entries. Set up all necessary monthly schedules for each client account. Document and maintain accurate recording process workflows. Prepare open item document that includes all the open items that need to be reviewed by the clients and update the necessary adjustment before finalizing the financial package III. Reporting and Financial Packages Review and prepare each client's Monthly Financial Package, which includes the Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Statement of Cash Flows, and Accounts Receivable Aging Summary Report, ensuring timely and accurate delivery. Prepare and distribute monthly Flux Reports for clients that require them. Support external audits and tax preparation, by sending necessary documents and coordinating directly with their Vendors. IV. Client Relationship Management and Coordination Collaborate directly with US-based clients to address all accounting inquiries and ensure accurate and timely reporting. Coordinate with clients through online meetings, email, and other communication channels. Send Uncategorized Transaction Reports and work directly with clients to clarify and explain noted transactions. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA is an advantage. Minimum of 3 –6 years of full-cycle accounting experience , preferably supporting U.S.-based clients . Strong understanding of the complete accounting cycle, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, bank reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, deferred revenue, and month-end close . Proven experience preparing monthly financial statements , including the Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement, and supporting schedules. Experience managing high-volume transaction processing with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail. Proficient in cloud-based accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Xero, or similar ERP systems . Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel , including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and other financial functions. Experience supporting multiple client accounts simultaneously in a public accounting, outsourced accounting, or client-facing environment is highly preferred. Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and familiarity with U.S. accounting practices; experience supporting external audits and tax preparation is an advantage. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to confidently interact with U.S.-based clients. Highly organized, self-driven, and able to prioritize multiple deadlines while working independently in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying discrepancies and resolving accounting issues.
