Role Details - Position: Senior Test Engineer - Start Date: Immediate - Location: Fleet (Hybrid - some on-site attendance required) - Duration: Until April 2026 - Rate: Flexible (competitive day rate, depending on experience) About the Role You'll be joining a high-profile integration programme, working as part of a collaborative testing team to ensure seamless delivery and quality assurance across multiple Workday integrations. This is a hands-on testing role, ideal for professionals who thrive in fast-paced project environments. Key Responsibilities - Develop and execute test plans, test scripts, and test cases for Workday integrations. - Conduct functional, integration, and regression testing. - Collaborate closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, and Workday consultants. - Identify, log, and track defects to resolution. - Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and frameworks. - Analyse business and technical requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and specifications to identify test scenarios and potential risks. - Create and maintain comprehensive test plans, test scenarios, test cases, test data, and traceability aligned with project requirements. - Execute functional, integration, system, regression, exploratory, smoke, and sanity testing across web and mobile applications. - Identify, document, prioritise, and track defects using tools such as Jira , ensuring clear reproduction steps, evidence, severity, and business impact. - Work closely with developers, product owners, business analysts, and other QA engineers to investigate issues and ensure timely resolution. - Lead end-to-end testing activities for complex features and releases, coordinating testing across multiple systems and teams where required. - Perform API and database validation using tools such as Postman and SQL to verify backend processing, data integrity, and integration points. - Participate in Agile ceremonies , including refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives, providing QA input and risk assessment. - Mentor junior QA engineers, promote QA best practices, contribute to improving test processes, and support continuous improvement of overall product quality.
