Our newest opportunity is for a talented Senior Sustainability Engineer (Building & Commissioning) – Sustainability Practice to join our award-winning team based in Dublin, Ireland. We are seeking a dynamic individual to work within our vastly expanding and award-winning waste consultancy team to spearhead the growth of our business within the Middle East and further afield. Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be supporting the delivery of high-profile sustainable building projects across Ireland and internationally, with a focus on green building design, sustainability consulting and certification. The role offers an opportunity to take on greater responsibility and contribute to the continued growth of our sustainability services across Irish and wider European markets. We envisage success in this role to include: Leading and/or supporting the delivery of green building, sustainability and certification projects from concept through to construction and completion. Managing and coordinating LEED, BREEAM, WELL and other relevant certification processes, including strategies, documentation, submissions, assessments and audits Providing technical advice on sustainable building design, energy efficiency, carbon and resource efficiency, indoor environmental quality and environmental performance. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, prepare meeting agendas, and notes. Reviewing architectural, MEP and technical design proposals to identify opportunities to improve sustainability performance and achieve certification targets. Coordinating sustainability requirements across multidisciplinary design and construction teams, ensuring sustainability objectives are effectively integrated into project delivery. Preparing and reviewing technical reports, sustainability assessments, calculations, presentations and certification documentation, and leading relevant meetings and workshops. Planning and monitoring project programmes, commercial performance and client expectations throughout the project lifecycle, including managing deliverables, budgets, resources and timelines Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, contractors and other stakeholders, providing effective technical and project support. Supporting clients in establishing sustainability targets and developing practical strategies to achieve their environmental and green building objectives. Keeping up to date with Irish and European sustainability, energy efficiency, building regulations, standards and certification requirements. Supporting business development, proposals, presentations and the growth of sustainability services across Ireland and other European markets. Providing guidance and mentoring to junior team members, while ensuring appropriate quality assurance, quality control and document management across project deliverables. Travelling within Spain and internationally as required for project delivery, client meetings, workshops and business development activities. Maintain direct control of timelines and budgets for different projects assigned to the consultant. Line management, supervision, and mentoring mid-junior level staff. Qualifications: To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include a minimum of 5 years' professional experience in the Built Environment and/ or Sustainability-related fields, coupled with a Degree in Engineering or Architecture 2+ years of relevant experience managing sustainability certifications , with strong experience in LEED and/or WELL; BREEAM experience would be advantageous. 5+ years of professional experience in the built environment and/or sustainability-related fields. Active LEED AP OR commitment to become a LEED AP, WELL AP and/or HPI Assessor within 3 months of employment start. Postgraduate qualifications (e.g. MBA, MSc in Sustainability, or Project/Program Management) would be a strong advantage.
