CAPITAL SURVEY LLC is seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and results-oriented Senior Survey Engineer cum Commercial Manager to strengthen its technical operations, expand its client base, and generate new business opportunities across the UAE.

The ideal candidate must possess strong technical expertise in land surveying and marine surveying, combined with proven experience in commercial management, marketing, sales, tendering, and business development.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing surveying activities, developing client relationships, identifying new project opportunities, preparing commercial proposals, securing contracts, and contributing directly to the company's business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Surveying Management

• Supervise and manage land surveying activities, including topographic, boundary, setting-out, and as-built surveys.
• Ensure the accuracy and quality of survey data, drawings, calculations, reports, and technical deliverables.
• Manage survey teams, equipment, resources, project schedules, and site coordination.
• Prepare and review technical proposals, method statements, survey plans, and project documentation.
• Oversee survey data processing, quality control, equipment calibration, and compliance with project specifications.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and project teams to resolve technical issues and meet project requirements.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards throughout survey operations

1. Marketing and Business Development

• Identify, approach, and secure new land surveying and marine surveying projects across the UAE.
• Develop and maintain strong business relationships with consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, developers, government entities, and marine construction companies.
• Conduct regular client visits and business meetings to promote the company's surveying services.
• Generate new leads and convert potential opportunities into confirmed projects and contracts.
• Identify upcoming projects, tender opportunities, and potential clients within the UAE construction, infrastructure, and marine sectors.
• Develop effective marketing strategies to increase the company's market presence and service portfolio.
• Build and maintain a professional network of clients, consultants, contractors, and industry contacts.
• Represent CAPITAL SURVEY LLC professionally during client meetings, commercial negotiations, and business development activities.

1. Commercial Management and Tendering

• Prepare quotations, cost estimates, BOQs, technical and commercial proposals, and tender submissions.
• Review tender documents, scopes of work, specifications, and contractual requirements.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and commercial conditions with clients and business partners.
• Follow up on submitted quotations and tenders to secure project awards.
• Evaluate project costs, manpower requirements, equipment expenses, and operational budgets.
• Develop competitive pricing strategies while maintaining acceptable profit margins.
• Coordinate with management on contract negotiations, commercial risks, and business expansion.
• Monitor invoicing, payment collection, variation claims, and other commercial documentation.

1. Client Relationship Management and Revenue Generation

• Establish and maintain long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Regularly follow up on business opportunities, quotations, tenders, and upcoming projects.
• Identify opportunities for repeat business, additional services, and long-term contracts.
• Achieve agreed business development targets and contribute to company revenue growth.
• Prepare regular reports on client visits, new leads, quotations submitted, tenders followed up, and projects secured.
• Take an active role in bringing new projects and expanding the company's business in the UAE.

Educational and Professional Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Surveying Engineering, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5–6 years of relevant UAE experience in surveying, commercial activities, and business development.
• Strong practical knowledge of both land surveying and marine/hydrographic surveying.
• Educational certificate equivalency certificate, where applicable under UAE requirements.
• Proven experience in marketing surveying services, client acquisition, tender preparation, commercial negotiations, and project development.
• Established professional contacts with UAE consultants, contractors, developers, and marine companies will be a significant advantage.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, Total Station, GNSS/GPS, RTK systems, and relevant surveying software and equipment.
• Strong commercial awareness, negotiation skills, and understanding of project costing and profitability.
• Excellent communication, presentation, networking, and client relationship management skills.
• Ability to independently identify business opportunities, develop leads, and convert prospects into confirmed projects.
• Valid UAE driving licence is preferred.
