We are a leading provider in ecommerce recurring billing, and our middleware powers over 200,000 terminals and processes over two billion transactions annually. Our applications support over 800 integrations into POS solutions. We have built our reputation through seamless integration of payment terminals and POS systems and are continuing to innovate in creating a terminal and acquirer independent payment solicitor for in-store. Our clients include major banks and retailers such as Woolworths, David Jones, JB Hi-Fi, and Bunnings. Our goal is to continuously lead the payments industry with new technology delivering value to clients, which who include merchants, banks, acquirers and POS vendors, expanding our presence into other regions. About the Role Ready for your next step? This is a role for a strategic finance professional who wants to own the numbers and shape the decisions. This is a step up for someone with a corporate finance or strategic FP&A background who wants broader ownership. You'll own Linkly's FP&A and financial modelling and manage forecasting and planning. You'll also lead the accounting function: you'll manage and develop our Accountant, and oversee and support month-end and the year-end audit. What makes the role different is the strategic lens. You won't just report the numbers. You'll use them to shape pricing, M&A, market assessment and planning. You'll present insight to the executive team and build the PowerPoint materials that go to our PE-backed Board. As the accounting function matures, the role moves further into finance transformation and strategic projects, including building AI into how the finance team works. Based in Sydney, you'll work closely with the CFO, the Head of Strategy and the Accountant, and partner with the Commercial team on pricing and revenue forecasting. Key Responsibilities Financial modelling & analysis - Own Linkly's financial models for forecasting, pricing and planning, making sure they're structured, documented, version-controlled and ready for review. - Analyse performance by segment and explain trends, drivers and variances. - Flag risks, cost-out opportunities and performance gaps early. Accounting operations & team leadership - Manage and develop the Accountant, building their capability and independence. - Oversee accounting processes and make sure they're accurate and well controlled. - Oversee and support month-end, including the close, P&L, segment cuts, KPIs and commentary. - Oversee and support the year-end audit with our external auditors. Budget, forecast & planning - Run the monthly rolling reforecast end to end. - Own the annual budget and 3-year plan. - Target forecast variance of 3% on revenue and EBITDA. - Bring business inputs together into a single, defensible view of performance and outlook. Board reporting - Prepare Board and executive reporting to PE-backed Board standard. - Build PowerPoint packs that turn complex analysis into a clear, actionable story. Commercial partnering, pricing, M&A & market assessment - Act as the Commercial team's finance partner on pricing and revenue forecasting. - Run pricing analysis and deal costings, and support deal review and contract approval. - Support M&A with modelling, valuation, market sizing, synergy assessment and due diligence. - Size new markets and growth opportunities, and pressure-test the assumptions. AI, process improvement & transformation - Help lead finance process transformation to improve efficiency, control and scalability. - Embed AI into how the finance team works. - Deliver process improvements, especially a shorter month-end close, and share reusable tools across the team. What You'll Need - CA or CFA qualified . - 6+ years' experience in strategic FP&A or corporate finance / valuations (e.g. investment banking, transaction services, strategy consulting with a finance focus). - Strong financial modelling (essential): you build models others can audit, trust and reuse. - Strong PowerPoint and storylining (essential): you turn analysis into a clear executive or Board narrative. - Advanced Excel and a clear understanding of what drives a P&L. - Solid understanding of accounting processes, month-end and audit, enough to oversee them and lead improvements. - Comfortable presenting numbers and trends to the CFO and executives. - A real interest in using AI to work smarter, with the curiosity to try new tools and build them into how the team works. - Exposure to B2B software, payments or technology businesses preferred. Nice to Haves - People management experience, ideally leading or developing finance or accounting staff. - Experience managing or coordinating year-end audits with external auditors.
