The company is expanding its engineering team and looking for a Senior Software Engineer to build production software that supports monitoring, operations, visualization, and interaction with autonomous and connected systems. This is a hands-on role for an engineer who enjoys working across application software, backend services, real-time data, and systems that interact with physical hardware. What You’ll Do - Build production software used in autonomous and real-world operational environments - Develop applications for monitoring, telemetry, system status, and operational workflows - Build user-facing applications using modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks - Develop backend services and APIs that connect applications with physical systems and operational data - Work with live and streaming data from connected devices and systems - Build or improve visualization, mapping, or spatial interfaces - Debug issues across application, backend, communications, and hardware layers - Collaborate closely with software, autonomy, hardware, and operations teams - Improve reliability, testing, usability, and scalability of deployed systems What We’re Looking For - 5+ years of professional software engineering experience - Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related engineering field - Strong hands-on software development experience - Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks such as React - Experience developing production backend services or APIs - Experience with real-time data, telemetry, streaming, or event-driven systems - Experience building software that interacts with connected devices, vehicles, robots, industrial systems, or other physical systems - Strong debugging, system design, testing, and software architecture fundamentals - Comfortable working across multiple layers of a software system Relevant Backgrounds We are especially interested in engineers coming from environments such as: - Robotics - Autonomous systems - Automotive / vehicle software - Aerospace - Defense technology - Industrial automation - Warehouse automation - Connected devices / IoT - Simulation - Fleet operations - Remote operations - Mission-critical software Helpful Technical Experience Experience with some of the following is useful, but no specific combination is required: - React - TypeScript / JavaScript - Python - C++ - Node.js - Real-time messaging or streaming technologies - WebSockets - MQTT - Kafka - gRPC - Mapping or geospatial technologies - 3D visualization - Robotics or control-system frameworks Ideal Profile The strongest candidates have built software that monitors, visualizes, diagnoses, or interacts with physical systems in real time .
