Compensation: $160,000-$200,000 OTE. About Swish Labs Swish Labs is an AI-native mortgage platform focused on making home lending faster, more transparent, and more trustworthy for homeowners and lenders. We replace fragmented software and manual workflows with intelligent automation and a unified system that modernizes mortgage origination. We're a small team. Engineers here own real pieces of the product and make decisions that shape it. The role You'll design, build, and maintain the core backend services that move a loan from application through underwriting to funding. You'll work directly with product and design, write clean and testable code, review others' work, improve reliability, help set technical direction, and mentor the engineers who join after you. What you'll work on Backend services in Go that handle high-volume, data-intensive loan workflows APIs and integrations with credit, verification, document, and pricing providers The automation layer that turns model output into decisions lenders and regulators can trust and explain Performance, reliability, and the tooling that keeps production honest What we're looking for 6+ years building production software, with real ownership of systems that mattered Strong backend experience designing APIs, working with relational databases, and reasoning about scale and failure Experience with cloud infrastructure and containerized deployment Care for correctness and auditability — you can show what happened and why Good judgment, clear communication, and the willingness to say when something is a bad idea Mortgage, lending, fintech, or regulated-domain experience is a strong plus A computer science degree is not required.
