The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Shopify development, Liquid, JavaScript, APIs, third-party integrations, website performance, and technical SEO. You will work closely with our design, marketing, operations, and management teams to deliver a fast, secure, scalable, and conversion-focused shopping experience. Key Responsibilities: Shopify Development and Management Manage and maintain multiple Shopify stores for the UAE and GCC markets. Develop and customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Build reusable theme sections, templates, and custom storefront features. Customize product pages, collection pages, cart functionality, navigation, and promotional features. Maintain responsive and consistent experiences across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. Implement Shopify Markets, currencies, languages, regional pricing, and international storefront requirements. Manage Shopify apps and reduce unnecessary app dependency by developing custom solutions where appropriate. Monitor Shopify updates and ensure themes and integrations remain compatible. Integrations and Custom Development Develop and maintain integrations with payment gateways, BNPL providers, shipping companies, ERP systems, CRM platforms, inventory systems, and marketing tools. Work with Shopify Admin API, Storefront API, webhooks, GraphQL, and REST APIs. Develop custom Shopify apps or middleware when required. Troubleshoot payment, checkout, order, inventory, fulfilment, and customer-account issues. Maintain accurate data synchronization between Shopify and connected platforms. Implement Shopify Functions, app extensions, and checkout extensibility where applicable. Website Performance and Conversion Optimization Improve Core Web Vitals, page-loading speed, mobile performance, and overall storefront stability. Identify and resolve JavaScript errors, theme conflicts, broken integrations, and performance bottlenecks. Collaborate with UI/UX and marketing teams to implement landing pages, campaigns, promotions, and conversion improvements. Conduct quality assurance testing before publishing changes. Use A/B testing and performance data to improve conversion rates and customer experience. SEO, Tracking, and Analytics Implement technical SEO best practices, structured data, redirects, canonical tags, metadata, and sitemap requirements. Configure and troubleshoot Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, Google Merchant Center, and other tracking platforms. Ensure accurate tracking of purchases, revenue, customer journeys, and marketing attribution. Support product-feed integrations for Google, Meta, TikTok, and other sales channels. Security and Technical Operations Maintain website security, access permissions, backups, domain settings, and DNS configurations. Monitor website uptime, errors, and third-party service performance. Maintain development, staging, testing, and deployment procedures. Document custom code, integrations, technical processes, and system configurations. Follow version-control and change-management best practices. Team Leadership and Collaboration Lead and support junior developers and other technical team members. Review code and ensure development standards are followed. Plan technical tasks, estimate timelines, and manage priorities. Coordinate with management, design, marketing, inventory, customer service, and operations teams. Communicate technical matters clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Manage external developers, agencies, and technology vendors when required. Required Qualifications and Skills Minimum 3 years of hands-on Shopify development experience . Strong proficiency in Shopify Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive development. Experience customizing Shopify themes and developing custom sections and features. Strong knowledge of Shopify Admin API, Storefront API, GraphQL, REST APIs, and webhooks. Experience integrating payment gateways, BNPL providers, shipping platforms, ERP systems, and third-party applications. Experience with Git and structured development and deployment workflows. Strong understanding of e-commerce operations, checkout flows, order processing, inventory, and fulfilment. Good knowledge of technical SEO, website performance, Core Web Vitals, and conversion optimization. Experience configuring analytics, pixels, tracking events, and product feeds. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver work within agreed timelines. Strong attention to detail and a high standard of code quality. Arabic language proficiency is required. Preferred Experience Experience with Shopify Plus. Experience managing multiple regional Shopify stores. Experience with Shopify Markets and multilingual or multi-currency stores. Experience developing custom Shopify apps using Node.js and React. Knowledge of Shopify Functions, Checkout Extensibility, and Theme App Extensions. Experience with Google Cloud, AWS, Cloudflare, or similar platforms. Experience leading developers or managing technical projects. Previous experience in fashion, jewellery, retail, or high-volume e-commerce.
