This role is perfect for an experienced SEO professional with a strong strategic mindset, technical expertise, and client-facing experience. You'll elevate our best practices, provide support and share knowledge with the team, helping Seed to adapt to a changing digital landscape, including the shift towards AI-driven search and generative engines, and evolving strategies. As a Senior SEO Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing SEO strategies, working directly with clients to ensure their organic growth objectives are met. You will lead SEO accounts, provide strategic recommendations, oversee performance reporting, and collaborate with internal teams to enhance our overall SEO offering, including our approach to AI search and Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO), while working with our paid media teams for cross-service strategic insights. You'll be a confident, trusted voice for clients, building strong relationships and communicating clearly so they feel informed and reassured at every stage. This is an exciting opportunity for an SEO specialist with 5+ years of experience who thrives in a dynamic agency environment and wants to help shape how our clients are found and cited across both traditional and AI-driven search. Responsibilities Creating strategies across all core pillars of SEO for our range of ecommerce and lead generation clients Collecting, reporting and analysing data to inform a client's strategy and KPIs Setting up project roadmaps and briefing members of the wider team Understanding key technical SEO projects and their impact on overall strategy and results Work alongside our digital PR lead, assisting in the ideation of organic campaigns and content strategies Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with clients, acting as a confident strategic partner and go-to point of contact for their SEO programme Communicate strategy, performance and results clearly to clients, translating technical SEO detail into business impact they can act on Work with the wider SEO and business development team to drive our service offering and expand our client base Help the SEO service hit internal business goals for revenue and retention Keep up to date with industry news and key developments, including how AI Overviews and generative engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Copilot etc) are changing search behaviour Monitor and report on client visibility, share of voice and citations within AI-generated search results, feeding insights into wider SEO and content strategy Create new ways of working, and iterate and refine our existing processes to account for both traditional and AI-driven search Lead and develop SEO strategies tailored to client objectives, ensuring sustained organic growth across search engines and AI platforms Mentor team members, sharing knowledge and supporting their development, including on AI search and GEO best practice Requirements 5+ years of experience within SEO agencies or in-house In-depth knowledge of a range of SEO tools (Screaming Frog, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console etc) Solid understanding of SEO fundamentals across different pillars (strategy, content, technical, digital PR) A drive to continue learning and experimenting with SEO Strong technical SEO knowledge, including site audits, structured data, page speed optimisation, internationalisation and site migrations Solid understanding of AI & Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO), including how AI Overviews and answer engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity and Copilot surface, summarise and cite content, and how this is changing organic search behaviour Excellent client communication skills, with a proven ability to build trust and develop long-term client relationships Confident presenting strategy and performance data to clients of varying technical understanding, and comfortable managing client expectations About us We are a performance marketing agency that’s on a mission to Grow for Good.
