Senior Recruitment Consultant
Senior Recruitment Consultant – Early Years £35,000 – £42,000 basic + uncapped commission Clear path to management, team growth & long-term ownership opportunities We’re not looking for someone who simply wants another recruitment job. We’re looking for an experienced recruiter who wants to build something. The Nova Group is looking for a high-performing Senior Recruitment Consultant to take a leading role within our Early Years recruitment business. We already have the infrastructure, clients, systems and foundations in place. What we want now is someone experienced, ambitious and commercially driven who can come in, hit the ground running and become a key person in the next stage of our growth. The opportunity Initially, your focus will be what great recruiters do best: developing clients, building relationships, sourcing quality candidates, filling bookings and generating GP. We want someone we can build around. As your desk grows, you'll have the autonomy and support to develop your own team, bring in recruiters and resourcers, shape how your area operates and progress into a management/leadership position. We don't want to micromanage an experienced recruiter. You'll have genuine ownership over your desk, the freedom to make commercial decisions and direct access to the business owners. Longer term, we're open-minded about where this can go. For the right person who proves themselves and wants to build something significant, there is scope to lead and grow a division, expand into new areas and potentially develop a separate brand or business with us , with the possibility of discussing ownership structures as that opportunity develops. Who we're looking for You'll already be an experienced recruitment consultant , ideally with a strong track record in temporary staffing. Early Years recruitment experience would be a major advantage, but we're equally interested in strong recruiters from other fast-paced temporary recruitment sectors who understand how to build and run a profitable desk. You need to be someone who: Can generate business rather than waiting for jobs to land Is confident picking up the phone and winning new clients Knows how to build and maintain a strong candidate pool Understands margins, GP and the commercial side of recruitment Takes responsibility for their own results Works with urgency and genuinely enjoys recruitment Wants autonomy rather than being heavily managed Has the ambition to eventually lead and develop other people Is prepared to put the work in now to create a much bigger opportunity for themselves later Most importantly, we're looking for drive . We want someone who looks at an opportunity and thinks, “How big can I make this?” rather than “What's the minimum expected of me?” What you'll get £35,000 – £42,000 basic salary , depending on experience and track record, alongside an uncapped commission structure . You'll be joining at a stage where you can genuinely help shape what the business becomes rather than stepping into somebody else's finished structure. There is a clear opportunity to progress from Senior Consultant → Team Leader/Manager → Divisional Lead , with the scope to build a team underneath you. And if you're successful, ambitious and entrepreneurial, we're open to conversations much further down the line about building something of your own within the wider group. This probably isn't for you if you're looking for a comfortable desk where everything is handed to you. But if you're already a strong recruiter, you're confident in your ability to bill, and you're at the point where you're thinking “I could build something much bigger if somebody actually gave me the opportunity” , we'd really like to speak to you. Apply now for a confidential conversation. Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year Work Location: In person
