# Senior Quality Assurance Engineer **ABC Company** · Mississauga, ON L5T 2J2 · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: сегодня* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role We are seeking an experienced quality professional to strengthen workmanship, process discipline and quality performance throughout our plant, while supporting our Quality Assurance program. This is a hands-on technical position with a regular presence on the shop floor. You will work with Production, Engineering, QC and QA to identify problems early, investigate warranty returns and ensure corrective actions prevent recurrence. You must be comfortable challenging work that does not meet requirements, explaining the concern clearly and following it through to resolution. The position reports to the VP of Operations, and works closely with senior management for unresolved quality or compliance concerns. Responsibilities - Conduct daily shop-floor reviews of workmanship, process compliance, work instructions, inspection checkpoints and maintenance documentation. - Ensure work follows applicable maintenance data, customer requirements and company procedures. - Exercise company-delegated authority to place suspect or nonconforming work and material on hold and escalate concerns; ensure holds are resolved through the authorized disposition process. - Work with QC, Engineering and Production to identify defects at the appropriate stage and strengthen controls that prevent defects from reaching customers. - Lead warranty and nonconformance investigations, including evidence collection, containment, root-cause analysis and corrective-action follow-up. - Coordinate weekly Material Review Board meetings, assign action owners and due dates, and verify that completed actions are effective. - Use practical investigation methods such as 5 Whys, fishbone analysis or 8D, selecting the approach appropriate to the problem. - Review recurring defects, rework, test failures and customer complaints; identify trends and recommend process improvements. - Assist QA with internal audits, customer and regulatory audit preparation, findings, corrective-action records and management-review information, while preserving required audit independence. - Support improvements to controlled procedures, inspection plans, employee training and records in coordination with the responsible departments. - Check controls for material traceability, shelf life, tooling calibration and segregation of nonconforming product. - Coach employees and supervisors on workmanship standards and consistent process compliance; escalate repeated procedural failures. - Report quality performance to management, including warranty rates, repeat defects, rework, first-pass test results and overdue corrective actions. Required qualifications - Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in quality, inspection, maintenance or production quality in manufacturing or a regulated technical environment. - Demonstrated experience driving quality improvements across production departments; direct people-management experience is not required. - Demonstrated success investigating warranty returns or product failures, identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective actions. - Experience with internal audits, nonconformance reporting, corrective-action systems and controlled documentation. - Strong judgment, clear technical writing and the ability to hold people accountable professionally while working constructively with production teams. - Ability to work on-site in Mississauga and authorization to work in Canada. Preferred qualifications - Experience with electrical or electromechanical aviation components, generators, motors, winding processes, insulation systems or component testing. - Experience with AS9110, AS9100 or ISO 9001 systems and applicable international aviation/customer requirements Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year Benefits: - Dental care - On-site parking - Paid time off Work Location: In person
