# Senior QA/QC Engineer **Ayana Properties** · Dubai · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: 7 дней назад* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role The Senior QA/QC Engineer is responsible for monitoring, reviewing, and ensuring that all construction activities, materials, workmanship, and documentation comply with the approved project specifications, drawings, quality standards, contractual requirements, and applicable codes. The role will represent the Consultant on site and work closely with the Resident Engineer, discipline engineers, contractor, subcontractors, and Client to maintain the required level of quality throughout the construction and handover stages. Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Assurance & Quality Control - Review and monitor the Contractor’s Project Quality Plan, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, checklists, and quality procedures. - Ensure that all construction activities are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, contract requirements, and applicable codes and standards. - Monitor the implementation of the Contractor’s QA/QC procedures and quality management system on site. - Conduct regular site inspections to verify workmanship, materials, installation, and compliance with approved documents. - Identify quality deficiencies, non-conformances, and deviations from approved requirements. - Issue and follow up on Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Site Observation Reports (SORs), and other quality-related notices where required. - Review corrective and preventive actions submitted by the Contractor and verify their proper implementation and closure. - Maintain quality standards throughout all stages of construction and ensure that defective work is rectified before acceptance. Material & Work Inspection - Review Material Inspection Requests (MIRs), Work Inspection Requests (WIRs), and other quality submissions. - Verify that materials delivered to site comply with approved material submittals, specifications, samples, and relevant standards. - Ensure materials are properly stored, protected, handled, and installed in accordance with manufacturer recommendations. - Witness inspections, testing, sampling, and laboratory tests as required. - Coordinate with discipline engineers for inspections related to Civil, Structural, Architectural, MEP, and other works. - Verify that required testing and inspection records are properly maintained. Documentation & Reporting - Maintain accurate QA/QC records, inspection reports, NCR logs, test reports, material approvals, and quality documentation. - Monitor the status of open NCRs, observations, inspections, and corrective actions. - Prepare periodic quality reports highlighting key issues, recurring non-conformances, risks, and outstanding corrective actions. - Participate in weekly and monthly progress and quality meetings. - Ensure that quality records and supporting documents are properly compiled for project close-out and handover. - Review as-built documentation, testing records, warranties, certificates, and operation and maintenance documentation from a quality perspective. Site Supervision & Coordination - Work closely with the Resident Engineer and discipline engineers to ensure proper coordination of inspections and quality requirements. - Liaise with the Contractor’s QA/QC team regarding inspections, non-conformances, testing, and corrective actions. - Participate in site walks, technical meetings, quality meetings, and coordination meetings. - Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with project quality requirements. - Escalate recurring or significant quality issues to the Resident Engineer and Project Management team. - Provide technical guidance to site supervision staff regarding quality procedures and inspection requirements. - Support the Consultant team in evaluating workmanship and determining acceptance or rejection of completed works. Testing, Commissioning & Handover - Monitor and witness testing and commissioning activities where applicable. - Verify that testing procedures and results comply with approved requirements. - Participate in snagging, de-snagging, and final inspections. - Monitor closure of outstanding defects and punch-list items. - Review final quality dossiers and handover documentation. - Support the project team during final completion, authority inspections, and handover to the Client. Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. - QA/QC certification such as ISO 9001 Lead Auditor/Internal Auditor certification is preferred. - Membership in a recognized professional engineering body is an advantage. Experience - Minimum 10–12 years of relevant construction industry experience , with significant experience in QA/QC and site supervision. - Strong experience in major building, residential, hospitality, commercial, mixed-use, or infrastructure projects. - Previous Middle East/GCC consultancy experience is highly preferred. Skills & Competencies - Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, inspection processes, and construction quality standards. - Good understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems. - Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs, and material submittals. - Ability to identify workmanship and compliance issues across multiple construction disciplines. - Strong documentation, reporting, and record-management skills. - Excellent communication and coordination skills. - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Ability to manage multiple inspections and quality priorities in a fast-paced site environment. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and common project/document management platforms. - Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with multidisciplinary site teams.
