Senior QA/QC Engineer

Job Title: Senior QA/QC Engineer Industry: Construction & Contracting Location: UAE Department: QA/QC

Job Purpose

To ensure that all construction activities comply with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and contractual requirements. The candidate must have strong hands-on experience in the contracting industry, particularly in managing site quality inspections and coordinating with consultants and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor QA/QC procedures across construction projects.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Prepare and review Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and quality documentation.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and site teams for inspections and approvals.
• Manage NCRs, corrective actions, and preventive measures.
• Ensure proper material inspections, testing, and approvals.
• Monitor construction activities and identify quality issues to minimize rework and defects.
• Maintain quality records, inspection reports, and project documentation.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards and project quality requirements.
• Support internal and external quality audits.
• Ensure proper quality documentation is completed for project handover.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant discipline.
• Minimum 8–12 years of experience in the construction and contracting industry.
• Strong experience working with main contractors or established contracting companies.
• Proven experience in site inspections, quality control, and consultant coordination.
• UAE/GCC contracting experience is highly preferred.
• Experience handling NCRs, ITPs, material approvals, and quality audits.
• ISO 9001 certification or Lead Auditor qualification is an advantage.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Good understanding of QA/QC procedures and contractual requirements.
• Experience in preparing quality reports and technical documentation.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to independently manage site quality activities and resolve quality-related issues.

Preferred Candidate Profile

A hands-on Senior QA/QC Engineer with extensive contracting experience, preferably with a main contractor, capable of managing site quality activities, coordinating with consultants, supervising inspections, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and contractual requirements.
